He spent his life criticizing capitalism 24/7 in a library while his family was literally starving, because daddy was too busy to provide them with this dinner he was speaking of. And for what? His greatest "achievement" was inspiring the Soviet regime. The ultimate irony is that instead of liberating the working class, his ideas were used to put people in shackles. Citizens couldn't criticize the regime at all, not even after dinner, they couldnt choose their careers, or farm freely. They were completely controlled by and dependent on the state. In 1932-33, when the regime decided to deliberately starve Ukraine, 5 million people were starved to death in a man made famine. The desperation was so extreme that people literally resorted to cannibalism just to survive. Marx's contemporary fans completely ignore this history, they only care about their idealistic delusions. They are doing nothing but cosplaying as revolutionary rebels, playing pretend. They have no intention of working that hammer and sicle, its nothing but a trendy accessory, their hands are too full with their iphone, macbook, cashew milk boba macha frappacino and their soma of choice. "Religion is the opium for the masses", but actual opioids and other sedating substances? That’s just the standard weekend starter pack for the modern online Marxist.
