Learn how to measure the right amount of coffee grounds for your percolator to make a delicious cup of coffee.
Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of coffee grounds per cup of water. Fresh, cold water.
Instructions: To begin, figure out how much water your percolator needs. Always remember that a cup of water is about the same as six ounces of coffee. For a regular-strength coffee, mix 1 tablespoon of coffee grounds with 1 cup of water. You can change the amount of coffee grounds to suit your own tastes. You can go a little stronger or a little weaker if you want to. Measure out the coffee grounds and put them in the percolator basket. Add enough fresh, cold water to the bottom chamber of the percolator to make the number of cups you want. Put the percolator together and put it on the stove or other heat source. To begin the percolation process, turn on the heat. Wait for the water to boil and then run through the coffee grounds. Keep a close eye on the percolator. Let it brew for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how strong you like your coffee. You'll be able to tell when it starts percolating. Take the percolator away from the heat source and give it a little time to cool down. When the coffee is ready, carefully pour it into your cups or a coffee pot, and enjoy!
