Whisk the eggs, granulated sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and heavy cream together in a bowl until everything is well mixed. Put the lemon mixture into the tart shell that has been left to cool. Put it in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the filling is set and the edges are golden brown. Let the tart cool all the way down before cutting it. These buttermilk waffles are a delightful summer treat, made even more special with the addition of sweet, juicy summer plums. The buttermilk adds a tangy flavor and makes the waffles wonderfully fluffy.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 2 tablespoons sugar. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 2 large eggs. 2 cups buttermilk. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 4-6 ripe summer plums, pitted and sliced. Maple syrup for serving.
Instructions: Follow the directions that came with your waffle iron to get it hot. Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl. Put the eggs in a different bowl and beat them. Then add the buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine well. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix them together just until they are mixed. Make sure not to mix it too much; a few lumps are fine. Spray nonstick cooking spray or melt a little butter and use it to grease the waffle iron. Pour the waffle batter onto the waffle iron that has already been heated. Use the amount that comes with your waffle iron. After putting the waffles in, close the iron and cook them until they are golden brown and crisp. Cut the sweet summer plums into thin slices while the waffles are cooking. Put the sliced plums on top of the buttermilk waffles and drizzle with maple syrup. Have fun with your tasty Buttermilk Waffles and Sweet Summer Plums!
