Back in July of 2020 I thought I'd lost Babybel for good. I don't want to get into details but she was lost outside. I put out posters and everything to try and find her but didn't have much luck aside from a couple alleged sightings. Anyway I'd given up all hope of ever swing my little girl again. I was heartbroken but eventually got a new cat because I missed having a feline companion in my life.

Several months later I'm browsing through the community's face book page and I see a picture of a cat who looks exactly like Babybel and a post from a lady saying that she'd found the cat around the end if December and was looking for the cat's owner.

I spoke with the lady and showed her pics of Babybel. I was uncertain but she was almost certain that it was my long lost cat. I came over and spent a little time with the cat. I was thrown off because it had been nearly 2 years since I saw her and she'd also put on a little weight but she acted exactly like Bel and came right up to me like she knew me despite being a bit shy with strangers according to the lady who was taking care of her.

Part of me is still uncertain but she has been with me and Toby for about a week now. And she definitely acts like the same cat I remembered and furthermore she walked right into my home like she been here before. She has all of baby Bell's old habits. Same meow, same way of playing, acts like she's known me all her life, same look, likes the same stuff. I guess I'm in shock but...Baby came home!
