we don't talk enough about how horns on mammals are bone and keratin and horns on reptiles are modified scales
okay wait I was wrong
the reason I got this wrong was because bearded dragons have these modified, thorny scales and I just kind of assumed that lizards generally don't have true horns but it looks like horned lizards actually do.
horned vipers are probably the best example of reptiles with fake horns. The texture is similar to the scales and there's basically no way the skull is going to form a thin strip over the eye and then form a horn right there (I'm not sure but I feel like that would probably cause a fracture and injure the eye pretty easily)
I'm having vimto withdrawals

My fake son learned the alphabet today. I’m so proud of him, in theory.
I'm so sorry

This has to be considered some form of bullying
it's good that I will never be a dog breeder, bc I would make the elephant dog. long borzoi snout, chunky pitbull body, ears of a papillon
why aren't we doing this?
you 🫵 you can join the breeding project.
Art Fight attack for Gavialis! Might be the most fun I've had with a background in months.
Whenever I post something that's important to me no one gaf but that's ok
I wanted to write some deep motivational quote here but as I thought about it, I couldn't come up with anything that would speak to me. Whenever I stumbled opon these types of quotes online they all feel either fake or invalidating to me and overall make me feel worse. So I settled on it's ok because I think it's ok
Thought experiment: take a modern 3d animated movie like, I dunno, Disney's Encanto, and take it back in time to be inspected by animators in the 1930s. What are they likely to guess the medium is? Some kind of extremely high fidelity paintings? Probably more likely some kind of super high framerate stop motion with hand drawn animation for some of the special effects?
What's the earliest time at which we could expect animators would correctly guess the answer? My guess is late 1980s. You had some really good early experiments with photorealistic cgi, and it's not much of a stretch to imagine that computers could one day get good enough to do stuff like a modern 3d cgi movie. In the 90s I'd expect just about anyone to figure it out, cgi being used in live action and 2d animated movies by that point, and in 1995 toy story came out as a theatrical 3d cgi movie.
How would you even explain computer generated animation to an animator in the 1930s?
don't forget about analogue computer animation! machines like ANIMAC & Scanimate could do things like motion capture & by the 70s were commonly used for tv segments

we need to evaluate why some of you think dating a trans person is inherently gay in its own right, trans people in heterosexual relationships does not make their partner less straight and i need you think about why you might think that. this isnt an attack on being queer, the word queer or even anything like that. its about what youre saying about a trans persons gender that in some way alters your perception of their gender.
if a trans person self identifies their relationship as queer thats completely different, but why are outsiders to that making that choice to say this.
im tired and i might be rambling about something that isnt anything but i hope someone more coherent than me can word this better and understand what im trying to say

You can make a movie with where the only white character is a man named Ray Cism whose one line of his 16 seconds of screen time is “I seriously hate women and minorities.” and you’ll find fifty bajillion reader x Ray Cism fanfics and renaissance style drawings of him with a halo of golden light
