while women can choose to be a parent based on their financial, physical, and mental state, men are simply espected to “man up” and be a parent and pay for the woman’s decision. Men should have the right to choose if they are going to be a parent.

Men who are victims of rape to women, on top of even being recognized as victims, have no right to know if the rapist got pregnant, if she had the baby, or who gets custody of the baby. The female rapists typically has all the say in what happens to the baby that came from their raping. The man doesnt have the right to a say in a baby that results from his traumatic rape.

Women can force men to pay for their decision to have a baby. The male who may not be financially ready, can be forced to pay child support and be jailed if he does not pay (and the child support payments usually continue even when the man is in prison).

Courts usually give custody or favorability to women when it comes to child custody. In a battle of two willing parents, the mother is much more likely to be awarded custody. Men who want to be a father can have that experience snatched away from them just for being assumed the lesser parent by default.

Women can steal sperm from men and impregnate themselves weeks or even months after intercourse, basically having a man’s child without his say or consent. And again, they can force him to pay child support.

In many countries, men who are named the father by the mother are basically forced to father the child by law. Paternity tests are often not permitted without the mothers consent, and if she were lying, should just choose not to consent. Additionally in many countries, even if it has been proven that the mother had lied about the paternity of the child or if the woman cheated on the man the previously assumed father can be forced to continue taking care of the child financially for the best interest of the mother and child.

Every human being is a combination of the DNA of both parents: you can trace your lineage back tens of thousands of years on both sides. It’s the height of arrogance and contempt and self-absorption to speak of one half of the human race as simply interchangeable anonymous sperm donors, and a perfect example of the issue under discussion.

No man has any choice in whether he wants to become a parent after having sex, whereas women have a dozen options that let them opt out, right up to and including actually giving birth and then giving the child away, legally renouncing all responsibilities.

But a man just has to go along with whatever the woman decides: if he wants to be a father, but she doesn’t want to be a mother, the woman can kill his child. If he wants to be a father but she doesn’t want to be a mother, she can give birth and then give his child away to be adopted and he has no claim. If he wants to be a father but she doesn’t want to be with him, she can have his child and then never tell him or the child he is the child’s father. If he doesn’t want to be a father, she can have the child regardless and force him to work to pay child support for it for decades to support her choice.

And does it matter if its a gun? Any weapon used for self defense can kill: taze someone for too long, spraying pepper spray directly into someone’s mouth and throat, beat someone with an umbrella long enough. Why does a gun change that?

There’s some places with a much lower chance of killing, like hands and feet. Those places also have a much lower chance of actually stopping assailants.

School shootings in Burgerland are actually very rare, especially if you compare ‘em to the overall number of schools, and get hyped up by folks with agendas. Crime is usually performed by criminals with illegally owned guns, and even if they weren’t, they’d still be a tiny fraction of the estimated 100+ million legal gun owners.

Most cops never even shoot at anyone in their entire careers. I think it was north of 98% last time I saw an actual stat.

And, again, there’s a tiny minority of police shooting incidents that get sensationalized. Often it turns out the cop was justified, which the sensationalists never, ever admit.

There was an incident last year where the suspect was literally mid-stab when the cop shot her - and miraculously managed not to hit her intended victim - and people still claimed the cop was wrong and should’ve hit her with a taser or used hand-to-hand.

When a bible thumper says “murder is wrong because it’s in the Bible” they’re implying that the Bible is the only thing keeping them from murder, and if the Bible said it was okay, they’d have no problem killing people.

When a progressive says “racism is wrong because black people have systematic oppression”, they’re implying that’s the only thing keeping them from being racist. And if black people didn’t have systematic oppression, they’d have no problem being racist towards them.

The moral structures of our civilization are very old and have come out of millennia of refining a religious understanding of the world. The West is so absolutely saturated with Christian morality that you don’t even realize that your values come from religion. Even if you’re an atheist or agnostic, your morals and ethics came from Christian foundations. Do people have an inherent understanding to not steal or murder? Well, yes, but really only if the subject in question is part of your group. The teachings of Christ really hammered home that you had to extend basic decency to EVERYONE, even those you actively hated. These ideas are no obvious.

Look up stuff on hunter-gatherer societies, because they were extremely violent. I can assure you that if your tribe came into contact with another tribe, if you killed an animal in their territory or your eyes lingered on one of their women for a second too long, you’d find yourself in a ravine with your head caved in with a rock.
