If you could have one pokemon move in real life, what would it be?

Huge bias towards False Swipe. No matter how hard I hit you, it will leave you alive, even if just barely. I can beat the shit out of as many people as I want as many times as I want, and never have to risk killing anyone.

Sign me up for rest. Go to sleep instantly for a pretty short time in order to be fully recovered and heal off injuries or even poison.

Considering this is an award from back in 2020 and seemingly nothings become of this id guess its not very practical.

I don't doubt the cancer is real but even the most aggressive form of this cancer takes 5-7 years to get this bad, according to actual doctors, so unless the White House medical staff just wasn't testing for prostate cancer in a 78-82 year old man they absolutely knew about this beforehand and didn't tell the American public about it.

Bit of an anecdote here, but my grandmas last hospital visit was a shock reveal that she had stage 4 cancer and had about half a year to live. She felt pretty much completely fine at the time and was just in for a check up. So im not exactly suspicious of cancer creeping up on a person, especially when like mentioned above it make perfect sense for them to take advantage of this way earlier as opposed to now where it doesnt even really do anything for him except maybe cover some flames.

Eh, theres kinda a point to this. When you try to press for details or go into logical implications of god with believers many can often retreat to an extremely loose definition thats harder to attack but also kinda useless to the conversation. If believers dont present some form of concrete/specific enough definition for this entity then the entity cant be proven true or false, making the conversation pointless.

I confronted a fellow Christian for being openly antisemitic and they proceeded to use the Bible, ya know, the book full of Jews, to justify antisemitism. It was surreal.

I would not be surprised if biblical literacy among believers was similar to what it was today as it was in the past.

Always found it interesting these are just kinda spoken as fact despite the only source for most of the fates of the original apostles being church tradition. No bible passages, no letters, no nothing. Just the churches head canon.

A bit of an exaggeration perhaps, but far as im aware even biblical scholars tend to agree the fate of most of the apostles isnt exactly reliable history.

It is , the problem being that a lot of those historians are malicious and want to attack anything seen as the traditional narritive , even when it is logical and reliable or otherwise corroborated .

Yea yea yea, everyone who questions the bible or other christian claims is just a god hater who wants to sin or whatever. Never mind this is accepted by a large number of firm believers in the field.

Im not a victim, i just always find it strange when some people immediately resort to attacking others character when they dare to question if every word of the bible (or non biblical claims) might not have a lot of evidence to back it up, or god forbid might just be likely false or exaggerated. Not everyone who critiques the bible has some vendetta to destroy Christianity.

Except the external corroboration and internal consistency within the 73 Books of the Bible is absurdly high .And Church Tradition gets proven right a crazy amount of times .So it is not merely questioning , it ends up making the opposition any Ecclesiastical position as a virtue unto itself that must be fought irregardless of any evidence or logic behidn arguments .

Depends where you look. But sure, theres plenty of true things in the bible, a lot of things even, but having true facts doesnt just make the whole thing true by default, each claim has to be evaluated on its own. Thats just how you do history (and most other things frankly). and for all its corroborated claims theres tons of things we have no evidence, or even evidence to the contrary (that ignoring all the stuff that cant be verified at all), as well as plenty of examples of conflicting details and narratives. Im not here to argue the bible is a book of fairy tales but its far from a perfect historical record.

I like to point out when this floats around that this clip is kinda shown backwards. The guys in the video are from "Dude perfect", and they brought her out specifically to do those trick shots with them. They just stacked up against her at the end of the vid cause they thought it be funny to try, not because they thought they could somehow beat her with an army of tennis amateurs.

Not to mention that for as much as these weirdos go on about apocalypse scenarios a bulky electric car is the last thing you want in such a scenario. Working charging stations are going to be real hard to come by if the world ends compared gasoline.
