Bongo's Cuban Cafe's Miriam's special chicken and rice - quarter chicken served on a bed of yellow rice with sweet plantains.

Cookie butter bar from Starbucks! Cream cheese icing and Speculoos cookie butter layered on top of spiced biscuit crust. I personally like to pair this with a cup of their mellow vanilla blonde (espresso) latte -- also new!

Wunderbar Cookies didn't happen tonight- I ended up with this chocolate cake instead. This is a two-layer affair with chocolate cream cheese filling and frosting and enrobed with toasted chocolate cake crumbs. I'll garnish this with fresh berries before serving tomorrow.

Vietnamese style spring rolls are easy to make except the wrapping part. Still, I can have this roll after roll..

Vietnamese style spring rolls- the veggies are julienned; the shrimp- shelled; the spicy peanut dipping sauce is ready (made from creamy peanut butter, hoisin sauce, crushed garlic, fresh lemon juice, toasted sesame oil, water and red pepper flakes); looks like we're ready to roll!

Valentines Day cake leftovers for lunch today. Yum!
