Also, in the sense of those real-world protection laws, sure, it makes sense to group together newborns through 18-year-olds. but doing so is genuinely completely fucking useless when talking about a narrative. "This is a story where the main character is a minor!!!!" you could be talking about Bluey you could be talking about The Catcher In The Rye you could be talking about Yellow Jackets. I don't know how else to express that story about a 7-year-old, a story about a 12-year-old, and a story about a 17-year-old are are, structurally, completely different things despite all being about "minors," and how grouping them together makes no sense. it's reductive at best and destructive at worse. Imagining sitting down and being like "oh yeah, let's look for a story about minors to recommend to minors" and you hand children's picture book No, David! to a high school senior.

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. If it asks for garlic, add that much ginger, and twice that much garlic.

If it asks for cinnamon, add 1 1/2 times as much cinnamon, and a small amount of nutmeg. If the MAIN flavour is cinnamon, also add a small amount of cloves and allspice.

If it asks for vanilla, also add a SMALL amount of almond extract. (Usually up to a few drops.)

If it asks for onions, also add some garlic, but add it 1 minute before you're either done cooking, or you add liquid

And while I concede that, chemically speaking, a lot of non-hydrophiliac* things are salts, you can always give your crystal a quick lick to make sure before shoving it in water**. If it's salty, make no mistake: it WILL dissolve. Use any 100% alcohol to clean it, if you absolutely need a wet cleaning, just test a bit in a corner to make sure the alcohol hasn't absorbed any water.

To answer @teaboot, I'll just state that, at a room temperature of around 30°C (86°F), you can get almost three full tablespoons of common salt (NaCl) dissolved in 100 mL (about 6,5 tbsps) of water. It's almost 1:2 in volume in terms of how much salt a certain volume of water can hold in the empty spaces of its molecular arrangement.

So yes, putting it in a machine that sends hot pulses of water for 30-60 minutes will dissolve the whole thing five times into oblivion.

Don't even get me started on how sugar is even more soluble than that. That video of the racoon washing cotton candy illustrates it heart-breakingly enough.
