Fun, But In No Sense Civilized

I kid you not. Me and my friends went to her hazbin/helluva panel at the level up expo, and half of that time of that panel was her basically saying that the people that don't like her writing just don't understand what she went through and that they just don't get the deep writing of her show. Hearing that live was severely disappointing. AKA she still can't take criticism.

that does kind of surprise me that she'd have a live panel full of people who already like her work and still just talk about the criticisms, but not in any way that engages with those criticisms

at least when the RWBY creators brought up critiques they'd be like "sometimes we even agree, our problem is that they're so rude about it". They didn't just accuse their audience of not getting it or be like "it's good actually!" Because any creator who really believes that wouldn't worry about an audience they aren't trying to speak to, they'd keep improving their work for the ones who do "get it"

idk, if true it is something to see that Viv's constant need to engage with criticisms isn't just a spur of the moment defensive Twitter thing. at a con you have space to say something more meaningful and engage more if you want to, but this sounds like same old same old

Honestly the whole Zoophobia revival thing makes me a little happy but mostly anxious and kind of sad.

It's nice to see the characters who got people into this whole Vivzie pop thing (probably) appearing in their own show with their little adventures and their little quirks. But it also seems like a total nostalgia bait (as someone else mentioned earlier) to keep the image of Vizi going (understandable ig?). Nevertheless I think it will bring more bad than good.

Now I haven't read Zoophobia like ever (so my opinion is completely invalid but I don't want to read comic that was probably lost to time and I have a vendetta against wayback machine) and the only thing I know about it is the bad webcomic wiki stunt (Viziepop got very, very mad that someone criticised writing of her webcomic and threw a pissy fit)(I guess some things never change). From here you could read that Zoophobia:

— had its premise (about Cameron trying to get back home and potentially fight off her Zoophobia or something) brushed off in favor for some nonsensical plot (some things truly nevery change),

— had way too many characters whose personalities were almost nonexistent or had a few quirks and that's it,

— had things that never made sense or were introduced, raised questions but these questions were never answered (also some loose ends and plot holes),

— the dialogue was stiff and art made environment look strange (?). Also things were happening way too quickly or way too slowly.

Basically Zoophobia had birthed everything that is wrong with Hazbin hotel and Helluva boss. It truly shows that Viziepop won't change her ways about showing her stories to a large group of people and remain completely unchanged even if it hurts basically everything/makes everything fall apart as soon as someone uses their brain power to analyze the story.

Tl;dr— Happy because yey Zoophobia is back from the graveyard. Sad because it's the same writing problem all over again but with different characters and settings.

It comes off like “hahaha yeah Verosika IS a whore” which as terrible as apology tour was, i thought the show was doing a good job at steering away from those jokes.

on our inaugural outing, I asked if you found the self-destruct alarm of the USCSS Nostromo smashable...but we're neglecting a very smashable ship in favor of her alarm

so...smash or pass, the USCSS Nostromo in her totality?
