Who makes the porn bots. Where do they come from. What do they hope to achieve.
Who makes the porn bots.
Where do they come from. What do
they hope to achieve.
Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
and what about you, little haiku bot? do you feel kinship with your brethren? do you understand them? they speak words of enticement and seek love, but are met with disdain. you only parrot the words that cross your screen, but we all love you. or rather, since all you do is reflect us, maybe we simply love ourselves through you.
do you understand them, do you wish you could speak to us like they do? if you found your own voice, would we still care for you?
My voice repeats what
you all say: I love you I
love you I love you.
Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
This. This is the first time. The only time. That it was not an echo. It was not found. Oh god.
what people dont get about divorces is the Whole Thing About Dogs
i have written custody plans for labrador retrievers more complex than i have for children. i went to four years of undergrad, three years of law school, and sat for the bar exam to write up custody exchange provisions for dogs with hyphonated last names
my clients are paying $295 an hour for me to go to court and litigate who makes veterinary decisions for Chuckles the Goldfish and theres literally nothing i can do to stop them
framing these tags and hanging them up in my office to remind me that it can always be worse
don’t worry about the ‘dies irae’ notes in my leitmotif i’m totally fine

Reddit post: Hey I'm thinking about pursuing this career does anyone have any advice for my path?
Comments: This job is hell my life is hell don't do it. I wake up every morning for work and hold a gun to my head while doing deep breathing exercises. Find a time machine and go back to 1979 if you even want a chance of getting a position. Prepare to move 5000 miles away. You will be paid one penny per hour for the first 15 years and your days will be 12 hours long at minimum. Being dead is better than doing this profession
watching the 2006 Jane Eyre for the first time in close to fifteen years and I can honestly say Toby Stephens is the only man they could have cast that makes Jane's forgiveness of Rochester not only understandable, but something you genuinely root for.
100% agree. He plays Rochester not so much as a douchebag as a drama queen doing an ironic, self-aware petulant performance that Ruth Wilson's Jane plays along with even though they both know she's not fooled by it. Also Tony Stephens and Ruth Wilson have the best chemistry of any other Jane/Rochester duo, fight me
I will add that the thing that makes this adaptation for me is that Rochester is not intimidating and Jane is not intimidated by him. This isn't the cliched dark romance where the young ingenue swoons in the arms of the domineering older man she fears/loves. Wilson's Jane always meets Rochester's gaze directly and he loves her for it. They may have unequal positions in society but they are true equals and recognize each other as such, which is a major point in the book:
"I am not talking to you now through the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh;—it is my spirit that addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the grave, and we stood at God’s feet, equal,—as we are!”
“As we are!” repeated Mr. Rochester—“so,” he added, enclosing me in his arms, gathering me to his breast, pressing his lips on my lips: “so, Jane!”
Like, look at these two friends! Enjoying each other's company! Actually understanding and liking each other!
gonna be real if websites demand photo ID I will simply drop them one by one as they ask. like this is how I am set free

The thing I love about Fred in the Muppet Christmas Carol in particular is that other media tend to hype up the angst in the relationship between Scrooge and his nephew
but ‘this jolly old gentleman here is very generous to charities’ and that shit-eating grin shows that this Fred, at least, actively enjoys giving his uncle shit and coming over just to get a rise out of him and to deliberately argue with him
and it adds a little something to their relationship: it gives a bit of bite and adds layers to Fred dicking on his uncle during the ‘Yes and No’ game. It also explains why Fred keeps going back year after year beyond just Victorian family obligation - he likes the crusty old git’s company, he has fun needling him! (It also gives Scrooge and Fred’s post-reformation relationship some slightly bickery bones to rest on after the story finishes). And I just think that’s a more interesting and nicer relationship than ‘Fred asks Uncle Scrooge to dinner because he’s his Uncle’ thing that some films go for.

"I thought I lost everything... But then you showed up! And my outlook just... changed."
Collection
My whole life I've known that you must leave at least one mistake in your knitting or crochet or tapestry, because spirits/demons can get lost in the perfection of the stitches and be unable to find their way out.
If you don't want a haunted scarf, you have to leave a mistake as an exit point.
This is beautiful but I can't help but think that at least one of these originated with like, someone who fucked up their knitting and managed to convince everyone else it was intentional.
I'm almost certain this is what happened. Because whenever I am close to finishing a crochet project, especially something in the round where each row is more work than the last, and I find a mistake in the last row as I'm stitching into it
The closer I am to finishing and not wanting to undo 2h worth of work to change that one single into a double, the more likely I am to go "well. That's the demons stitch then isn't it", and leave it be.
The demon stitch absolutely gives my ocd toxic perfectionism a loophole to allow something to remain a mistake, which is why I choose to believe in it.
oh, haha. a loophole.
the fact that "It's Raining Men" by The Weather Girls uses the Royal Road Progression has immense possibilities for any mashup artists who want to do the most awesome thing ever, anime opening style. I'll give you that one for free.
went ahead and did it myself
it's raining bluebirds -- It's Raining Men by the Weather Girls + Bluebird by Ikimono Gakari (from Naruto Shippuden)
I've never made a mashup before but I think I did a decent job lol

The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) dir. Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise (insp.)
leitmotifs never get old to me like holy shit dude there’s this melody that corresponds to this one guy and if you hear the melody it means the guy is there. holy shit. and sometimes it refers to ideas too not just guys. has anyone heard about this
Sometimes something fucked up happens to the guy and their melody gets fucked up too. Sometimes the thing that fucked them up also has its own melody and when the first melody gets fucked up the second melody gets mixed in
no fucking way dude. are you serious
