Not sure if this is a popular theory or not but kinosaki is def a plant by the doll user so that gero can start with his marriage journey. Except kinosaki was also swindling the doll user and risking his life in the process so that gero can find happiness and finally abandon his abusive clan. because Iâm pretty sure kinosaki and gero were childhood friends who gero used to sneak in to see but ultimately got his memories wiped when the doll user found out that his relationship with kinosaki was making his soft. so the whole marriage journey is like kinosakiâs ultimate f u to the poison clan.

Oh my gosh. I just found this website that walks you though creating a believable society. It breaks each facet down into individual questions and makes it so simple! It seems really helpful for worldbuilding!
Heads up that this is a very extensive questionnaire and might be daunting to a lot of writers (myself included). That being said, it is also an amazing questionnaire and I will definitely be using it (or at the very least, some of it).

question for my code geass girlies, are these fujo-bait vols worth much?
I'm trying to write a post about tick safety and avoiding tick bites, but a lot of the info on websites is like "Avoid going in the woods, in plants, and where there are wild animals" and "Activities like hiking and gardening can put you at risk" and I'm like thanks! This is worthless!
As ticks and tick borne illnesses are expanding their range, I think it's important for people to be educated about these things, and I think it's especially important to give people actual advice on how to protect themselves instead of telling them to just...avoid the natural world
Rough draft version of Tick Advice:
Ticks don't jump down on you from trees, they get on you when you brush against grass, brush, bushes etc.
Ticks get brought to an area when they get done feeding from an animal and fall off them. In the USA, the main tick-bringing animal is deer, but I've seen plenty ticks on feral cats and songbirds.
Ticks get killed when they dry out so drier areas with more sunlight are less favorable to ticks.
The above is useful for figuring out whether an area is likely to have lots of ticks, and how vigilant you have to be in that area.
Wear light-colored, long pants outside. Tuck your pants into your socks, and tuck your shirt into the waist of your pants. Invest in light, breathable fabrics idc
IMMEDIATELY change out of your outside clothes when you come back from a tick-prone area, wash them, and dry them on high heat to kill any ticks that might be stuck on.
Shower and check yourself for ticks after coming inside. Hair, armpits, and nether regions in particular. You can use a handheld mirror or rely on touch; an attached tick will feel like a bump kinda like a scab
While you're outside, you can just periodically check for ticks by running your hands down your legs and checking visually to see if anything is crawling on your clothes. Light colors make them easy to spot, and they don't move fast.
Combing through each others' hair to check for creepy crawly critters is a time-honored primate ritual and is not weird. When hiking, bring a friend who will have your back when you feel something on your neck and need to know if it's sweat or a tick
If you're careful, you can usually catch ticks before they bite you, but if one does bite you, it's not the end of the world. Since tickborne diseases are different regionally i suspect this advice will differ based on where you are, but the important thing is remove the tick with tweezers (DON'T use butter, a lit match, or anything that kills the tick while it's still attached, please) and contact a doctor to see what to watch for. Most illnesses you can catch from ticks are easily treatable if you recognize them when symptoms first appear
Also, don't assume that just because you weren't in tall grasses you don't need to be checked.
Some advice from a former camp counselor:
- If youâre camping, check your towels, blankets, and anything else youâve hung up before letting it touch your body. Ticks are drawn to wet towels and find it an easy jump to a person.
- If youâre out with a dog, check them over thoroughly before you pet them. Anti-tick medication can kill ticks that attach to your dog, but they can still hitch a ride on fur and then jump on you. Consider getting an outdoor comb and wear gloves while checking.
- Invest in a pair of fine-tipped tweezers to remove ticks. There are a ton of special âtick removalâ tools that will work, but theyâre essentially a riff on a basic set of fine-tipped tweezers. The fine tip allows you to pull a tick off without killing it while itâs attached. Standard, blunt-edged tweezers for eyebrows donât work as well, because they can crush the tickâs body and release germs into your skin at the bite site.
- If you have a tick on or near your genitals, just go to a doctor. Just...just do it. Trust me. Iâve seen this happen. Do not engage with the junk tick.
- When you need to remove a tick, grasp it firmly with your tweezers as close to the skin as you can get it. If you can, grasp it under the head. Pull straight up - do not twist the tick. Thatâs going to be your best bet to pull it all off without leaving the head or mouth embedded.
- If you do break the tick, leave the mouth alone - donât dig in to get it, since that can break your skin more and cause infection. Without the tick attached, the mouth should eventually fall off. If it doesnât within a day or so, call a doctor.
- Disinfect, disinfect, disinfect. Iâd recommend hitting the area with rubbing alcohol several times.
- Keep the tick in a plastic bag in your freezer or fridge. Itâs gross, but if you start having any illness symptoms, it can be helpful for your doctor to have the tick itself.
- Watch for a rash on the site, a fever, chills, or body aches. If you experience anything like that, go to an urgent care or hospital.
- Donât panic! Lyme disease is treatable. The quicker you get medical treatment, the less likely that youâll have significant long-term effects.
Speaking as a long time outdoorsman this is all great advice. Iâll add one thing: in the past many places have had traditional tick seasons. Be aware that these seasons are shifting and expanding due to global climate change. Iâve spent a lot of time in the central Rocky Mountains and traditionally tick season was early to mid spring. That has shifted to late winter in the valleys and ranges to mid summer at higher altitudes.
Additionally, tick species ranges and the tickborne illness ranges have also been shifting because of climate change. Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever used to be moderately common in the Rockies and has expanded east.
Teal deer: donât rely on traditional information, verify seasons and ranges before assuming youâre safe.
Do not engage with the junk tick.
Other protip: a deep woods style bug spray can repel ticks. Spray the insides and outsides of your shoes and also your socks. It helps a LOT.
I went from getting a dozen ticks to getting zero after doing this. Be aware that deep woods bug sprays are poisons and keep them away from non human animals and use sparingly on skin.
When I was in college, round about 2002 or so, I did a paper on hate groups that necessitated a couple of visits to Stormfront, a white supremacist website and message board. One of the pages on the site was a "children's page" operated by the child of Storrmfront's founder, which was a unique form of horrifying. But I also remember looking at a photo of the kid on the site and thinking, that poor fuckin' kid, what kind of chance did he ever have?
But it was just a paper and that was just a photo of a child I didn't know, so I turned in the paper and graduated and got on with life.
In 2016, @archwrites posted a link to an article by the Washington Post titled "The White Flight of Derek Black" (sorry about the paywall, Arch's post quotes some relevant parts here). I thought it looked like an interesting read: it was about a white supremacist named Derek Black and a group of campus activists at the school Black eventually attended, who set out to see if they could change his mind about race with radical kindness. In large part because of their work, Black eventually renounced white supremacy and became an antiracist.
And then I hit a photo in the article and gasped, because I recognized it. I'd seen the same photo on the Stormfront children's website. The kid I'd seen and pitied was grown up and had gotten out. Immensely satisfying to see.
But it was just a news story about someone I didn't even know, so I posted about how pleased I was to see it, and I got on with life again.
This morning, I woke to the news (sorry, it's the Daily Fail) that R. Derek Black, now 35, has just published a memoir, The Klansman's Son: My Journey from White Nationalism to Antiracism. And in the epilogue, they come out as trans.
I can't imagine better news I could have heard about them -- that they're out, they're thriving, and they're embracing themself.
Congratulations, kid. It's a great new photo.
[ID: A recent photograph of R. Derek Black, with long curly red hair, wearing a floral collared shirt and a red cardigan, smiling for the camera.]
hope you don't mind but I found the Post article extremely good, so here's a gift link for anyone who wishes to read it in full.
Oh I don't mind at all -- that's actually great, thank you! Reblogging so people can access the article through the link.
when I first watched utena I noted how peculiar it was that people depicted in their coffins were always curled up in a fetal position instead of the typical coffin position of lying on their back with their hands crossed over. it just hit me now that it probably has to do with the egg speech given at the start of the student council sequences. the one inside the coffin shows the chick that died without breaking the shell, or being born. the coffin shows the safety of eternity at the cost of never growing or changing. the coffin is the egg that doesn't crack. the juxtaposition of the egg (new life and potential) and the coffin (death and stasis). the ending of Utena is open-ended, as Anthy has emerged from her coffin and has cracked the shell of the egg/her world, and now she's creating a life of her own. the coffin seems eternal but it can be escaped, that's why they aren't posed as if already dead. oh my god
i want to check out the w.i.t.c.h's tv show. some changes i heard they made to the plot are so interesting, but i just cant get over how much they mischaracterized the girls, especially cornelia and elyon, they really dumbed them down and they lost what made them all unique for them.

Things food snobs are wrong about
âOrganicâ isnât better for you or for the environment. It actually means nothing of any significance at best and is sometimes even the more wasteful, more hazardous option.
A shitload of ânaturalâ food including a lot of imported produce is grown and harvested through slave labor in inhumane conditions.
Pizza, fried chicken, french fries, fast food, candy bars and chips ARE nutritious. They are loaded with good things. Just because they have an abundance of excess fats and might not be healthy as a staple doesnât mean they are ânutritionlessâ or that their calories are âempty.â Those are hokey buzzwords pushed by the people in charge of how much you pay for the alternatives.
Eating healthier costs more. Much more. Looking down on people for their reliance on cheaper food is extremely classist and expecting everyone to be able to live off fresh veggies and cage-free meats is insultingly unrealistic in the modern world.
âProcessedâ literally only means the food went through some kind of automated process. This can be literally the exact same thing a human being would have done to the food for it to be labeled âunprocessed.â Being processed does not make something less healthy.
Chemicals with long, scary names are part of nature. An apple is full of compounds you probably canât pronounce. A shorter ingredients label only means they didnât bother listing all 300 things the product is actually made of and HAS to be made of.
Preservatives, artificial flavors and other additives are not the devil. Most are harmless and in general they are part of the reason you havenât already starved to death or died of a food borne illness.
MSG is not bad for you at all.
The fact that something might be made of âscrapâ meats like pig snouts or chicken necks only means one thing: that we didnât waste perfectly normal, edible meat.
I DONâT KNOW HOW I FORGOT THIS IN MY FIRST VERSION OF THIS POST BUT GMOâS ARE NOT DANGEROUS TO EAT. GMOâS ARE SAVING LIVES. YOUâVE ALREADY EATEN GMOâS BEFORE YOU EVEN KNEW THE TERM. ITâS FINE. EAT THEM.
So Iâve literally done this twice before and so have several other people but here are sources on all of these, most of them fairly recent academic studies or otherwise the most up-to-date I could find:
Organic food isnât better for you: [1] [2] [3]
Tracing food industry slave labor: [1]
Healthier food is more expensive: [1] [2]
Saturated fats (i.e. âjunk foodâ) still provide needed energy, arenât as bad as people thought: [1] [2]
âProcessedâ isnât synonymous with less healthy, because it means a lot of different things: [1]
âChemicalsâ also means a lot of things and many food components are misunderstood by the general public: [1]
MSG is not harmful: [1] [2] [3]
GMOâs are not dangerous to eat: [400 sources collected here]
also seriously if a character isnât white, i promise your only descriptive options arenât food words and varying degrees of tan. itâs okay to say brown. pale brown! light brown! golden brown! medium brown! dark brown! deep brown! so many kinds of brown!
BROWN BROWN BROWN BROWN BROWN
#brown is not a bad word #you do not need euphemisms #B R O W N
This post by writingwithcolor might help in picking good words to use plus reading about why not to use food words! In general if youâre writing a character of color I highly recommend @writingwithcolor
Thank you!

OH MY GOD whyyyy did no one tell me youâre supposed to send thank-yous after interviews?? Why would I do that???
âThank you for this incredibly stressful 30 minutes that I have had to re-structure my entire day around and which will give me anxiety poos for the next 24 hours.â
I HATE ETIQUETTE ITâS THE MOST IMPOSSIBLE THING FOR ME TO LEARN WITHOUT SOMEONE DIRECTLY TELLING ME THIS SHIT
NO ONE TOLD YOU???? WTF! I HAVE FAILED YOU. Also: Dear ______: Thank you so much for the opportunity to sit down with you (&________) to discuss the [insert job position]. I am grateful to be considered for the position. I think I will be a great fit at [company name], especially given my experience in __________. [insert possible reference to something you talked about, something that excited you.] I look forward to hearing from you [and if you are feeling super confident: and working together in the future]. Sincerely, @mellivorinae
THIS IS A LIFESAVING TEMPLATE
YOU ARE WELCOME
My brother got a really great paid internship one summer. The guy who hired him said the deciding factor was the professional thank you letter my brother sent after the interview.
should it be an email? or like a physical letter?
email, you want to send it within a few hours at max after the interview if you can so itâs fresh in their mind who you are.Â
Confirmed! I interviewed for a job right after arriving in NY. The interview went incredibly well, and I went home and immediately wrote a thank you letter and put it in the mail. I had a super good feeling about this interview.
I didnât get the job.
However, a few weeks later, I was called in to interview with another editor in the same company, and I did get that job. I found out later from the initial editor (the one who didnât hire me) that he had planned to offer me the job, but since I didnât follow up with a thank you letter, he assumed I didnât really want it. He offered the job to another contenderâbut when he got my letter in the mail shortly after the offer had already been made, he went to HR and gave me a glowing recommendation. It was based on that recommendation that I got called in for the second interview.
So: send an email thank you immediately (same day!) after the interview. If youâre feeling extra, go ahead and send a written one too. OR go immediately to a coffee shop, write the letter, and return to the office and give it to the secretary.
Either way, those letters are important.
Pro tip: If you really want HR to develop a personal interest in your application, publicly thank them on linkedin. Just make a short post telling your network about how X recruiter really went above and beyond to make you feel welcome, or about how be accommodating and professional they were, or whatever. Make sure to use the mention feature so theyâll get a notification and see it.Â
Flattery will get you everywhere⌠and public flattery that might make its way back to their manager, doubly so.
Obligatory plug for one of FreePrintable.netâs sites: ThankYouLetter.ws. They have a whole section with interview thank you letter templates, and a page with specific tips for interview thank you letters. (There are also tons of other letter templates if you browse around a bit.)
As a former professional recruiter and recruiting manager, I confirm, especially for entry-level positions, where you are competing with oodles of people. This little thing can make a difference. Also the fact that, maybe, you took time to google the âinterview etiquetteâ.
SIGNAL BOOST
The post-interview thank you notes can be a good way to recover in case you got asked a question whose answer you either didnât know or felt was super weak. So if you follow the above given template, jump in with something like âupon further thought to your question, hereâs my revised answer.âÂ
But yeah always send a thank you note after an interview. Itâs a small thing but it makes a hell of a difference. And def send thank you messages to any recruiters who may have helped. And also after you get the job. Small things like that really go a long long way.
GO READ ASK A MANAGER RIGHT NOW.

>#op please tell me where where i can play this game @rainbowdelicsunshine Itâs Magical Heroines Plus by Dakken -Download Link-, itâs FighterMaker 95 game and definitely one of the higher quality ones. They also made a successor game in FighterMaker 2nd with a different cast called Magical Chaser ~Stardust of Dreams~ -Download Link- Thereâs also Ojamajo Fighters which is a Magical DoReMi game -Download Link- Youâll most likely need to set your computer to Japanese Locale to play them, so you can use Locale Emulator if you donât feel like it. You can play them with controller but in my experience FM95 seems to count direction inputs twice, so I use Anti Micro to map keyboard inputs to the controller to bypass it. Thanks for asking.

yall look at this shit ad*be is tryna pull now on ppl who have outdated software:
(note for context: iâm all for piracy, but in this case my copy of CS6 was downloaded years ago when they were giving it away to students. i got it totally legally.)
so here is what NOT to do if youâre a loyal fan of adobe who has the cash to shell out for a newer and shittier version of the product you already paid for.
1) DONâT use your search bar to find and open the Run app
2) DONâT type in services.msc
3) DONâT find Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Services and right-click to get a dropdown menu, and donât select âpropertiesâ
4) if you happen to click properties, DONâT use the startup type dropdown to locate the option to disable the program. be sure you DONâT click apply to finalize that change.Â
5) DO NOT do the same thing in order to also disable Adobe Genuine Software MonitorÂ
if you do all of these things, this WILL disable adobeâs ability to monitor the software, and you will be forced to continue using the same older software that you already paid for instead of having to sign up for a newer, shittier version and pay more for it. so if you have lots of cash to spare and are cool with putting it the pockets of racketeering capitalists, definitely donât do any of these things.Â
however, you SHOULD reblog this to spread the word, as we certainly want to make sure lots of people know what NOT to do :)
IâM SORRY MA'AM. I KNOW YOUâRE UPSET.
Pretend to be upset.
OP how could you
I hope none of my friends who use Adobe programs find this, follow your detailed instructions, and spread the word. That would be devastating!
It would.
