opened the comments to see somebody (transmasculine) commenting about how transfems get all the attention and how they wish more people would talk about transmasculine people

I reply to explain that trans women are (and should be) centered in conversations about transphobia because they are treated worse and have worse sociopolitical outcomes. as politely as I am able while still conveying the relevant information

within the span of an hour this person and a separate transmasculine person reply to this comment to argue this. the creator of the video, who is also transmasculine btw, likes the comment I was disagreeing with and deletes mine.

like, i'm sorry, a Completely Fucking Random Woman said some shit online you think is crazy. So... by that logic, you're implying that trans women aren't in the sociopolitical class of women?

Trans men are men. Nobody is saying that means they have CIS privilege. There are cis men and trans men. both are men. This is like saying that disabled men aren't sociopolitically men because they don't have the same rights as abled men. But you see how that's irrelevant? Because disabled women exist, right? So can you see how.. we have men who are at the axis of cis and men that are on the axis of trans. And both groups have women counterparts.

YES, YOU EXPERIENCE TRANSPHOBIA. AND YOU ARE STILL A MAN. two things can be true.
