I want someone to look at me the way that Jake Doyle looks at Leslie Bennett.
Knock Knock Eye: What Should You Do If Youāre Pepper Sprayed At A Protest? ā Knock Knock, Hi! with the Glaucomfleckens ā Overcast
For those attending protests, here is some advice straight from an ophthalmologist on how to deal with pepper spray in the eyes.
Be safe everyone.
Holy lunch at the Y, Batman! This week, V and Emily just rate which, if any, superheroes are fuckable, because DC's editorial team made an edict in 2021 that will never, ever, ever, never not be funny.

This is the best thing I have listed to in a very long time. I cannot remember the last time I laughed this much.
I also may have listened to most of it at work. Iām pretty sure that no one heard it (thanks to awesome headphones) but I know they heard me. Because headphones wonāt keep the world around me from hearing me snicker not-so-quietly.
Never done thinking about The Rashomon Job. Because ok, I think that, on balance, we can assume Eliot and Sophie spent a not insignificant amount of time at that museum gala flirting aggressively with each other (Nate's careful excision of this from his reconstructed version notwithstanding).
We also know that Sophie clearly did not remember/recognise Eliot until he pantomimed his behaviour and accent that night. This tracks for Sophie; she's not a faces person. She notices actions, tones, accents, and above all she notices physical signifiers of social relationships (class, professional, personal etc.). She can be pretty confident, from her own grifting experience, that that's all most other people notice too.
Eliot, on the other hand, is absolutely a faces person. It's something of a recurring bit. There's at least one occasion where he IDs a guy he saw for three seconds. He's a hypervigilant observer with a detailed and well-trained memory ("it's a very distinctive..."). That's part of what gives him an edge (and also must make the occasions where he briefly becomes famous deeply stressful).
(The bit in the opening episode of Redemption S3, were they walk into a party and Sophie notices the decor and dress and Eliot notices all the armed and dangerous security is such a good example of their respective ways of seeing the world.)
Taking all this into consideration, I think we can fairly happily imagine the following: that Eliot Spencer walked into a theatre in LA with an alcohol-soaked insurance investigator, an annoying hacker, and a disconcertingly odd super-thief, and was absolutely baffled to find someone he recognised from that deeply frustrating attempt to steal the dagger of Aqu'abi doing the world's worst Lady Macbeth.
And then she clearly hasn't recognised him, and he's not going to bring it up, because it's just a one time job, and also there's her whole thing with Nate happening right in front of his salad. And then eventually it becomes "wait, this is gold", and he's just sitting on this reveal until that night in the bar.
Honestly, with all the tradwife cooking trash circulating, it only makes me love B Dylan Hollis more for baking vintage recipes while being openly gay, making sexual jokes, and screaming at the ingredients. He's the antithesis of every soft-spoken cishet woman cooking for her husband and children. You don't have to be an idyllic cottagecore housewife to cook.
The swearing is essential. That's what "made with love" or "the secret ingredient is love" means. It means, "I love you so much that you're worth this fucking bullshit."

I know I absolutely promised no April Fools stuff, but the Library and Archives of Canada announced their major acquisition of the declassified journals and military records of Canadian supersoldier James āLoganā Howlett and I think itās the best thing Iāve seen all week.
April 1, 2016 ā Gatineau, Quebec ā Library and Archives Canada (LAC)
Library and Archives Canada (LAC) acquires the declassified journals and military records of Canadian supersoldier James āLoganā Howlett.
Logan was born in 1882 in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada, to wealthy landowner Elizabeth Howlett and her grounds-keeper Thomas Logan.
Loganās journals provide valuable insight into his early life in Canada, including work as a miner in a British Columbia stone quarry, a fur trader for the Hudsonās Bay Company, and a homesteader in the Canadian Rockies. His military career spanned multiple conflicts, making his personnel records an unprecedented study in Canadian military history. Logan was gravely wounded in action many times, and gained a reputation as a gritty survivor.
Quick Facts
WWI: Captain in the Canadian Armed Forces (Devilās Brigade). Fought at Ypres in 1915. Wounded by a sword through the chest.
WWII: Returned to the Devilās Brigade in the Second World War, as an allied spy and paratrooper for the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion during the Normandy landings on D-Day.
Cold War: based in Ottawa and Calgary, worked for both CSIS and the CIA.
Logan later changed his operative name to āWolverineā, and worked with various NGOs.

itās that time fellas
how many libraries could you get to from where you live now without looking up directions?
none
one
two
three
four
five or six
seven or eight
nine or ten
eleven to fifteen
sixteen to twenty
twenty to thirty
more than that
You can use any travel method you like, walking, public transport, so on. You can get an uber but their map has failed so you'll have to give directions. You can travel to other countries and count those libraries but you have to be able to completely navigate from your home without assistance. So you can catch a plane but must be able to travel to and from the airport. No limit on how long it takes. If you know which block it's on or which tram line but aren't sure precisely, but you feel sure you'd find it once you got there, count that as a yes (if you're not sure maybe google it now and see if your plan would work). You cannot rely on asking for directions though, this must be all your knowledge
Ooh, this was a really interesting question!
Gonna be singing this (and this) all night.
If Levar Burton is hitting someone that person needs to be hit and I will hold his coat
That is the premise of an entire Leverage episode

ā¦. HUH?
what do you mean elon musk did a nazi salute on live tv at the united states presidential inauguration twice and is now erasing the evidence off the internet by replacing the footage with the crowd cheering instead?
would be a shame if people reblogged this, wouldnāt it?
I'm italian and there's something that people defending this shit don't fucking understand.
they think the āRoman saluteā is something unrelated to nazis or fascists but the āRoman Saluteā IS the fascist salute. It's not a different concept, it's the same thing!! It's not "good" because it doesn't have the word "nazi" in it, It's the same shit.
And to people saying "He is throwing out his heart to the crowd" tell me if YOU would do it at a 45 degree angle with your thumb tucked in and your fingers closed together. Personally, a throwing motion in my imagination has your palm completely open and your fingers spaced out
Regardless, This is what propaganda is, They do bad thing and then they say "no it good actually" and the population goes "Ok then it's all good" it's not all good, They're making you think it is. It sucks
Politicians gain power through the Ignorance of the people, don't trust people just because "They said it"
