eve baird would NOT handle other guardians in her library well. until she would handle it with absolute ease.
nope sorry the implication that cassandra ezekiel and jake each have their own guardian now is still occupying my mind NON-STOP
the difference between lysa and cassandra and how they respond to the Magic of it all, as the resident natural scientists of the team, is fascinating to me and i do think it relates to lysa fitting into traditional schooling while cassandra did not. it's also because they have different dispositions but cassandra is clinging to something new and she wasn't allowed to pursue academics and when the opportunity comes around, she's ready to believe that all her life's work can still be done. and her parents smothered her, forced her to quit sciences due to her tumor. she's had too much structure all the time. lysa, on the other hand, lost her parents early on and she loves the confines of the academic field because it gives her the structure that was ripped away from her. and so she doesn't want magic, no thank you, she's open to the new ideas the library provides because she's hit a dead end but she refuses to believe that it can't be pressed into that system she so dearly loves.
and what if one day after another perilous adventure with a villain/macguffin of the week where they almost lose charlie (like she's temporarily captured or put in jeopardy by a spell or actually almost dies again) charlie and lysa hug like they have been after the last few adventures but this time lysa doesn't pull away for a long time and charlie goes "lysa?" but lysa doesn't answer right away and charlie realizes her shoulders are shaking and she hears little sobs next to her ear and when she asks what's wrong lysa says "stop going away. stop almost going away. stop making me think you're going away. stop making me scared of losing you. please." what then huh. what the fuck then

like ofc i wish the librarians fandom was bigger but in an age where people flock to huge commercialized fandoms for super popular pieces of media and treat them more like fads to drop once it's not Big anymore and the Era is over... more people need to have their soul touched by a show that has a tumblr tag of 10 people at it's most active time. it's good for you.
One of the things I love about Librarians TNC (I start I lot of posts that way) is that Vikram is from the 1800’s and we never forget it
A lot of shows will have a character with a cool facet of their backstory that barely shows up when it’s not necessary, but not Vikram
Vikram talks like he’s from the 1800’s, he dresses like he’s from the 1800’s, every other episode we see him discover some facet of modern technology, or we see him mangle a phrase, or we see him not know what something is, means, or does
His mindset is often different from the others’ in a way that is clearly influenced by his era. We see his grief all the time at being stuck in the future separated from the one he loved.
Even now, in season two, after the whole plot with Anya and Vikram wanting to return to past is resolved, we still see Vikram get quiet, mourn a little whenever someone talks about their love or fear for their husband or wife, and we know he’s thinking about Anya.
