All of it is true at the same time.

This is a form of backdoor bigotry from both normative facts (there are more straight than gay relationships) and well represented bigoted beliefs (men are superior to women).

It is worth noting that as one of its first actions, the Trump administration pulled federal funding and halted federal work on preventing bias in AI (and then proceeded to rip up all the guardrails I and my fellow ethicists had installed).

There is a reason the AI shitsunami has hit over the last two years and it's that someone went and erased all the regulations.

- it's also been diagnosed in people with primarily androgenous hormones/body parts/etc, and it's kinda unclear what the percentages for that are, but it just feels more likely to me that the rates would be somewhat symmetrical

- i *feel* like i've seen something about hypospadias percentages being double-digit, something like 15%, but i can't find where i got that number from anymore. and it's also definitely a spectrum, so different people would probably put the line of what counts as intersex in different places... the most generous estimate i've just found actually was like 45% of people with penises having the urethral opening not be perfectly on top, but it's from a book quoted here (https://intersex.wiki/wiki/Hypospadias) and a sample of only 500 people

This coming out just days after it was revealed in the Jeffrey Epstein email dump that powerful people manipulated American and British news, political figures and forums to push transphobia to distract from people looking at their child abuse ring.

This includes chief anti-Corbyn-ite in Labour Peter Mandelson, directly feeding anti-trans stories to UK and US newspapers, actively bullshiting "biological studies" that trans people are idk ontologically evil (we have proof of Epstein pitching this exact thing), and creating /pol/ and then feeding anti-trans conspiracy theories for years until it all boiled over.

The answer is: the uterus isn't what causes your period, it is effected by your period. What causes your period and what causes trans women's periods is the same thing: the endocrine system.

HRT changes the sex of your endocrine system. Feminizing HRT makes it a female endocrine system, giving us a 28-day hormone cycle just like cis women. At the end of that cycle, the hypothalamus floods the body with prostaglandins. Those are what cause all but one of the period symptoms, because they make muscles inflame and contract. They are what make the uterus shed its lining, they are what cause intestinal cramps, they are what cause body aches, they are what cause headaches and migraines. The only period symptom not causes by the release of prostaglandins throughout the body is depression, and that is caused by your endocrine system simply not processing as much estrogen and from simply feeling like shit.

So, the only symptoms trans women don't get every 28 days is menstrual cramps, because yes we do not menstruate since we don't have uteruses. But migraines, depression, body aches, intestinal cramps, and the infamous "period shits" don't exactly add up to us having any better of a time. Except we have to pretend that we're fine and nothing is different because no one believes that we get periods, not even cis women.
