Okay I've been absolutely marathoning layout and design work for my ttrpg for the last several weeks, so I have to share some tidbits before I go insane. Here's one of the 5 power roots and one of that root's 3 origins. We're hoping to do a free public beta test at the end of August so I am *sprinting* to that finish line.

An incomplete catalog of things you can accidentally shoot out your nose and their effects:

Water

An unfortunate and slightly painful experience, this is the most classic thing to shoot out of your nose.

Sprite

What if water was spicy? That's the experience you'll have shooting sprite out of your nose. Only a bit more painful and surprising than water, but the effects seem to linger.

Spiced Rum

A truly horrible experience, shooting Rum out of your nose will burn like hellfire for 20+ minutes. You may resort to scooping water into your hands and intentionally inhaling it through your nostrils because your body's natural reaction to drowning yourself is a lot less violent than the searingly painful alternative. After spending 20 minutes huffing water in the bathroom of the party you may find yourself slamming face first into the wall opposite the bathroom door, unaware until that very moment that the tiny capillaries in your nose directly absorbed a dangerous amount of alcohol.

Rice

Doesn't do a great job of leaving, just fills your sinuses. Your mucus is tapioca now and you'll be sneezing whole grains of rice for an hour.

Hey. Why isn’t the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isn’t that fucked up? Does anyone else think that’s absurd?

It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!
