We adopted Toji when he was just 2 months old, and now he’s 3 months old! He is the most playful, snuggly, and well-behaved kitten. While he’s quite the escape artist, he loves his new home and is one very spoiled kitten. :) — Ava

Larry was found in Alabama with his litter. My daughter wanted to get another dog, as our two previous dogs, whom we rescued from Animal Humane Society, had passed away. We met Larry and knew right away he was our match. At 6 weeks old, we decided to give him a home. He has become vocal, happy, and oh so energetic. He’s also become our car buddy—we take him everywhere, and he gets so much love from strangers because he’s adorable. He even went paddleboarding for the first time at 12 weeks old. — Kelsey

I was looking to adopt older guinea pigs so I could give them a loving home to enjoy for the rest of their lives. Winnie (brown) and Frankie (white) have settled in beautifully and have quickly stolen my heart. They love their treats, look forward to their daily cuddles, and are thriving in their new home.
I’m so grateful to Animal Humane Society for giving them a safe and caring place to stay while they waited for their forever home. I’m so thankful they found their way to me, and I can’t imagine life without these two sweet girls. — Ella

Minneapolis Then and Now: Madison School building, 501 15th St E (1890s/Now) The Madison School is the oldest public school building still standing in Minneapolis. The school operated from this site from 1870 to 1982, the longest continuous enrollment of any school in the city.
My husband and I talked about adopting a cat for a while. My coworkers knew I was looking at cats, and one actually recommended Animal Humane Society’s Woodbury location to me! My husband and I went on a Saturday and looked at the cats. Marvin came up and sniffed our hands! In the room, he went and jumped up on my husband’s lap right away! He started purring, too. We knew right away he was coming home with us. He only hid from us the first day, but after that, he was out and about exploring his new home. He loves to cuddle with us! I’ll come home from work, sit on the couch, and he jumps up right away and purrs while he gets pets and kisses from me. He’s very social, and our friends like to play with him when they visit. He likes following people around the house. He’s a little shadow and must be part of the action. He loves taking naps in his cat tree, where he makes a perfect circle. He’s the sweetest cat. I’m so glad he’s my first pet ever! He’s the best cuddle bug :)
