Time and Space and the Ancients of them
Part 2: How CW is able to make up for there being no ancient of space

This was written thinking about how Danny is the ancient of space in my (a really good) Vanilla Ice cream
Space canāt heal itself
Damage must be prevented from being done to space
Time can prevent damage by avoiding over crowding of units
Units are infinitely small, but can not overlap, thus CW has to keep the (infinite) number of timelines unique enough they get as close as possible/use all available space but do not overlap
I was visualizing this as:
CW has an document that the pixel dimensions are already deciding, he can not color outside the given space, so he has a limited amount of pixels he can color. So in order to have the most variety possible, each pixel must be a different color.
So he meticulously goes through and makes sure no 2 RGB value combinations are the same (no 2 of the same color)
Thus when he has plenty of space he doesn't care about duplicates because there is enough room for each possible timeline (pixel) to fit within the document, the issue comes when CW begins to run out of space, then he must go back and separate each pixel so can actually express vastly different timelines/futures!
In this example; CW might cull timelines 255, 000, 000 through 220, 000, 000 because he doesn't have enough pixels to express every possible code of red so he's going to get rid of any that are not noticeably different.
because 254 and 255 might be different colors but they are also the same color, and this can happen and large scales
But CW can operate at a pixel and global level, he knows that each pixel is unique even if at a global level it all looks red.
Hopefully I haven't lost you because now it gets bad.
Time exists in 3 dimensions, so CW is stacking pixels (becoming threads)
Now to preserve space, CW wants each thread to be unique all the way down, but he can reuse colors as long as its not too many matching in a matching spot. (It also means he can reuse stretches of thread but I'll come back to that.)
But we aren't taking about pixels stacking to create a line, these are events and some events require preexisting events to happen in the same order for even the possibility of a decision to be created.
SO THERE ARE ACTUALLY A LOT OF REPETITION, this is represented in the branches of time, where it meets a node means everything before it is the same and writing that many lines takes up too much space so you simplify it as the "trunk" of the branches.
Therefore in closely related timelines, a lot of the timeline can be the same until the interesting change that clockwork wants to preserve, but this means they have to be EXACTLY the same.
SO a critical event will be identical in all ways that do not specifically result in the massive change to make a, going back to the pixel visualization its only using color 250 because 251 cant occupy the same space.
Putting this into the visualization of time;
A timeline changing event occurs when a car hits a cat, everything except whether and how the car hits the cat is the same. So a time traveling hero can create an alternative future where they stop the car, but it will always be the same color car, the same people on the street, a man tying his shoe before the car turns down the street is one of the pixels that must be exactly the same in all versions before the actual event of interest (car hitting cat) occurs in order to save on space.
This is where I am going to highlight that, yes CW whole cosmic job is to keep timelines exactly the same up until he separates them as being interested which I think sums up his cryptic nature pretty well.
