I'm looking for novels with no male characters at all—either set in an all-female society or featuring an all-female cast. I don’t like any romantic or sexual relationships involving men. I’ve only read Ammonite so far.I’ve read quite a few novels set in all-female societies, but they all depict men entering these societies, followed by the emergence of romantic or sexual relationships or the men’s prolonged stay—and I really dislike this trope. What I want to see is women entering all-female societies, with men either dying off or being driven out.
Help a sister out, y'all.
Celaeno series by Jane Fletcher is all set in an all-female society, no men whatsoever! (I didn't like the prequel at all for a multitude of reasons but I'm giving the main series a chance and like the first book in the main story better so far)
The Stars Are Legion by Kameron Hurley is an all-female society in space. (TW for tokophobia though and honestly just check CWs idk how to warn for this. Zero males though so it's not a bad tradeoff)
The Hadra Archives series by Diana Rivers. I am only on the first book but it does feature women characters getting away from violent male societies into an all-female one. Ymmv if it counts since there are evil male antagonists outside their society, idk how much they will feature in the story yet.
Aside from these, a couple series from my TBR (have been sitting on my actual shelf unread for forever tbh T_T) are the Coral Dawn Trilogy by Katherine Forrest that seems to have an all-woman society separate from the other male-inclusive ones, (but is about lesbians so will hopefully not fall to the stupid ugly misogynistic trope about letting males in), and similarly the Isis trilogy by Jean Stewart that seems to be about lesbian amazon warriors rescuing women to live on their all-female planet. I also have The Wanderground: Stories of the Hill Women by Sally Miller Gearhart sitting here to read — and some of my friends have loved it and some found it too boring a utopian novel so ymmv again.
This is off the top of my head so I'll come back when I think of any more. Lesbians also feel free to let me know if I am making any horrible mistakes with my TBR pile lmao.
Oh ETA: I would say the first couple books of When Women Were Warriors by Catherine M. Wilson had an all-female cast or just about, but for some reason introduced a ton of male side characters in the later parts of the story and that was so so annoying.
Transing women from history is lowkey giving mormons baptizing people after their dead. Oh, you think Mary Shelly is a he/they? Yeah, well these freaks think the Anne Frank is mormon so...
gnc woman: exists
tras: man? man? trying really hard to be a man? manly man man? mastectomy scar fanart when?
Lesbian: exists
Modern day TRAs: man? A man? Proof that trans men have always existed?
Woman hiding her sex to serve her country: exists
Modern day TRAs: men? An man? There's no cisgender explanation for this!
Woman hiding her sex to avoid sexual abuse or forced marriage: exists
Modern day TRAs: a man! Only a trans man would not want to be raped or forcibly impregnated!! This is in no way regressive!
At this point, I swear they're going to start transing Parvana from The Bread Winner, or any Afghan women/girls who disguised themselves as boys/men to escape or live.
>I am recommended a Lesbian romance
>I ask whether or not it's really Lesbian, or if it's actually about bi and/or trans women marketed to Lesbians to psychologically terrorize us with crouching tiger hidden penis
>they don't understand
>I describe the common tragedy among Lesbians that is trying to enjoy media for and by us only to be struck halfway through the story with the revelation of a conversion therapy narrative, which names our homosexuality as perverse and attempts to "correct" the Lesbian character's "exclusion" by inserting a male person somehow into her sex life because all these obsessed losers do is find indirect ways to fuck with us since we reject them to their faces
>they laugh
>"it's a Lesbian romance!"
>looks inside
>crouching tiger hidden penis
Aren’t you the ones who wanted their sex changed on all their documents? This is the result
This happened to me a couple times as a trans man too. It actually was part of my awakening to detransitioning, realising I cannot change my sex and that “passing” doesn’t even feel good and is causing more distress. Sex dysphoria exists and the middle ground of being trans doesn’t erase it because it does nothing to alter your sex.

what's this puppygirl essay that's got everyone worked up on here
I somehow got the wayback article to stop disappearing, so here's the full bonkers article in full. May it never be deleted from the internet.
and part 2...
Imagine being such a doormat for someone who almost certainly looks like Paul Dano or pre-plastic surgery Carrot Top wearing clearance SHEIN.
“I don’t want kids so having a uterus is pointless” is the worst talking point I’ve ever seen and truly shows me how much we have failed women in the medical realm.
Did you know though that the uterus has important functions besides having babies? Those functions include hormonal, anatomical, skeletal and sexual.
The uterus works with the ovaries and tubes to produce health promoting hormones- which are estrogen and progesterone. This is why hysterectomy can cause impaired ovarian function or complete ovarian failure. Also, these hormones don’t just help the reproductive system but estrogen has been shown to regulate immune response and increases the brains serotonin. The uterus is the most powerful organ in the body. During sex it is responsible for the intensity you feel in an orgasm.
Ovary removal (castration) or impaired ovarian function has been shown to increase risk for heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis, hip fracture, impaired memory and cognition, dementia, parkinsonism, mood disorders, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, adverse ocular and skin changes, sleep disorders, more severe hot flushes, sexual dysfunction.
The uterus has anatomical functions. It separates the bladder and bowel and keeps them anchored in their proper places. Hysterectomy displaces these organs causing dysfunction especially down the road.
Hysterectomy also destroys skeletal integrity since the uterus' ligaments are the support structures for the pelvis. Again, the RS is more than just “having babies” it interacts with the rest of your body and organs.
I know this is a “solution” for things like endometriosis but a hysterectomy with or without ovary removal is not a cure for endometriosis (endo) since endo implants / lesions exist throughout the pelvis. Many women still experience chronic pain even after this procedure.
Hysterectomy is one of the top overused surgeries (90+% are unnecessary) and women are not provided with the many negative effects from gynecologists. Women deserve to be informed and have informed consent. Educate yourself so you can be your own advocate and an advocate for others.
This is the post that just, scared the shit out of me tonight.
I had a hysterectomy in 2019. They left my ovaries, but took my cervix without asking, beforehand.
I was NOT told these things. I did not give consent to part of my surgery, and I did NOT give informed consent to ALL of it - because I was not informed!
Don't get a hysterectomy if you can avoid it, please.
There are other options.
I'm nervous as hell for my future and it didn't have to be this way. Those fuckers lied to my face, brushed over the details, and they WILL do it to you too.
Inform yourself. Protect yourself. God knows what they might have done to me while I was under anesthesia too. It makes me so scared and angry, thinking about these things and what I know now - that I was kept in the dark about before.
We have come full circle. How many more years until selling organs/body parts cause "I dont use *that one* for the in 5th grade bio described context" is another woke hustle?
Isn't this thee cyberpunk dystopia or whatever everyone was afraid of 10ish years back? Human bodies being defined as "just parts" and categorized in 1) needed for survival and 2) no harm done in harvesting that organ/body part.
The failed Sex/Medical education and mis/omitted- information of women's bodies paired with capitalism will certainly work on that. We already have a "surrogate/incubator/egg" market. What's next? The uterus trans/implants everyone is talking about?
Only women are misinformed about their body system in such sinister way. A man would never consider chopping his balls off "cause I don't want kids and that's where the sperm is". And no one would tell him that's all balls are for.
The Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children's Hospital is under investigation by Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bai
Reed, writing in The Free Press, says she was hesitant to raise her concerns because anyone who did was deemed a 'transphobe'.
The whistleblower told The Free Press that working at the center, which medically transitioned 600 children within two years, was: 'Like I was in a cult, and I had to de-program my way out of it.'
Reed alleged, in a sworn affidavit, that the hospital openly lied about not performing sex-transitioning surgeries on minors - claiming one doctor, Dr. Allison Snyder-Warwick, performed one at the hospital in the last few years.
In her affidavit, Reed said in one instance a girl was prescribed cross-sex hormones because she did not want to become pregnant.
'There was no need for this girl to be prescribed cross-sex hormones. What she needed was basic sex education and maybe contraception,' she said, adding that a basic assessment of her case would have revealed that.
'But because the doctors automatically prescribe cross-sex hormones or puberty blockers for children meeting the bare minimum criteria, this girl was unnecessarily placed on drugs that cause irreversible change to the body.'
We fucking told you this would happen but no we're just bigoted bitches who won't fuck fetishists.
The law suits are coming.

THE LAWSUITS ARE COMING SPREAD THE WORD
Time is running out.
So this is the answer to an ask that @wild-wombytch has sent me, and I chose to answer it in this format because the original ask contains a link to a post that I'd rather not share, to maintain respectful of OP.
Thank you, I'm fine! and cool that you like the cat pictures ❤️ I'll make a separate post for you just containing cat pictures
and thank you so much for saying that! ❤️❤️
yeah, so @wild-wombytch refers to a post that deals with a person who got a tumor from HRT. They have made a post in a mainstream trans subreddit and the people on there got mad at them, because they didn't want to recognise the downsides of HRT:
So this is just a whole other level. People hating on OP because they got a brain tumor is so despicable. These people can rot in hell
(Also, if you want to use my post to make fun of OP for having a brain tumor, enjoy getting blocked 🥰 I try to make this a welcoming place for people who are transitioning, detransitioning or having problems with their medical transition. If you can't handle that, please fuck off)
The specific kind of tumor this person is talking about, a pituitary brain tumor, is (as stated) probably linked to HRT in trans women. This reminds me of the myriad of posts by trans women talking about galactorrhea. Galactorrhea refers to the spontaneous lactation without having given birth or breastfeeding a baby, which can occur in women and men. And what is the most common cause for Galactorrhea?
the most common cause of galactorrhea is a benign tumor in your brain. Even though benign tumors are not as dangerous as cancerous tumors, they can still cause severe dysfunction over time, because they can still grow slowly and compress vital areas of the brain. It's definetly not a topic to be joked about.
I was able to find a ton of "I am spontaneously lactating as a trans woman, is this normal"-posts in the span of seconds. Remember: Galactorrhea, a condition that is most commonly caused by a brain tumor. And what are the responses?
keep in mind: this person probably had not only been lactating, but even had blood in their nipple discarge. Up to a fifth of women who have that sign of discharge have a malignant cause for it - I can't imagine that the prospect for biological males on HRT is much better.
so yeah, instead of telling them to go see their doctor or anything, they link them to r/AdultBreastfeeding - it's a fetish subreddit for people who have a lactation fetish and want to induce lactation.
I mean, a large amount of the stuff I post here is kinda funny and absurd, but if you get a bit deeper in these online echochambers, it gets really dark real quick. Where did we go from "everyone should live their lives as they wish" to "downplaying brain cancer to own the terfs"? And this doesn't mean that every trans woman should immediately stop their HRT just to prevent that from happening. That's not what I'm saying here. I'm just saying that these people genuinely don't seem to care about anything other than their ideology, and even medical professionals are seen as "lying" and "bigoted", and people with brain tumors are accused of "attacking the trans community". How is this not a cult??
Also, I wish the person who made the original post all the best :) I hope they find people who support them and help them heal
I have actually seen some TRA responses to this post where they argued that "a benign tumor is meaningless and you shouldn't even bring it up"
Even benign tumors can be very dangerous. Placement, size, pressure, it all has an effect. Especially on the brain.
People should know. They should have this knowledge available to them, and they should be able to accept that information when it is presented.
unrealistic male beauty standards: power, strength, protector, big strong man, superhero, literal god
unrealistic female beauty standards: weak, prey, helpless, porn star, sex object, sex symbol, sex doll, fetish, porn, jerk off material
damn it seems only one sex is held to a standard of outright dehumanization purposefully created by their oppressors who only see them as walking objects to masturbate to. gyns which is one worse im stumped here

Hate when TRAs are like “radfems suck because they dehumanise women by defining them by their vaginas”.
There is one criteria for being a woman, one box you have to check, and that is being biologically female. You can be literally anything else as long as you check that box, masculine or feminine, a Russian housewife or a Portuguese construction worker or British cottagecore lesbian or American cowherder.
That is…. so much more liberating than thinking womanhood is femininity, or lipstick, or shaving your legs, or wearing skirts, or conforming to misogynistic ideals, or somehow “feeling” like a woman.
So yeah. Woman have vaginas. They are also everything and anything else.
I was told today that defining woman as female is in fact so offensive it is a “conservative talking point”
I cant find the post again but someone on here said it perfectly: if you say that radfems “reduce women to their vaginas just like misogynists do” you’re actually implicitly admitting that sex-based oppression exists and it targets female people specifically
last night i was having this vagina state of mind so i took a cab instead of walking home alone
last week i was having this vagina state of mind so i had to wash my sheets because i mentally bled on them
when i was born i unfortunately had this vagina state of mind so i was socialised like a girl and told people like me are inferior
and after all this time i realise i was just having the wrong attitude, the wrong state of mind!
If I actually came through my mother’s state of mind, does that make me a figment of her imagination?
Lmao
when you think you have a penis state of mind but you actually are a dick :o
Doctor, I don’t need an epidural, I am very open-minded.
I wasn’t in a vagina state of mind and that’s why I been to the hospital when there was blood coming out of me once a month. The doctors were very annoyed with me, for some reason. Don’t they know vagina is a state of mind?
The oppression of women is merely a figment of the imagination.
You aren’t oppressed; you’re simply in the wrong mindset. You just need to work on yourself.
really hate how the term "lesbian" has been erased from media. now it's queer, wlw, sapphic. that tells me nothing. are they ACTUALLY lesbians or will there be male-fucking at some point?
on the flip side, when "lesbian" is actually used as a content descriptor, you can guarantee a male will be involved (threesome/poly usually). there's no critical thought beyond "two women kiss this is lesbian!!!"
lesbians have no surefire word for media that exclusively includes us, because lesbian media is an extremely unpopular niche that nobody besides lesbians wants to watch, and i'm so sick of people telling me that i have nothing to complain about because a sterilized lesbian background character pops up in a kid's cartoon once a year.
Please do not shut up about trans women's blogs being terminated disproportionately. You have to care more about speaking out against this. You have to care more about the girls that have been termed to oblivion. You have to care more about the girls that haven't come back. You have to care more about trans women.
Don't let them get away with it!
how I sleep knowing tumblr is taking away fetishists' fetish posting spots
These are the posts of the blogs getting banned, btw, just in case anybody is curious about what these men are doing to get termed
You're being "disproportionately banned" because you disproportionately post so much rape threats and porn. You blatantly go against the terms and conditions you agreed to when you made your account. It's not discrimination, it's the consequences of your actions.

If misogyny was only just “hatred of the feminine” a supposedly mystic state of being rather than oppressive norms, women could opt out at any time by simply not conforming. This is so clearly and painfully untrue almost as if… Sex-based oppression exists
and in fact, refusing to conform to/perform femininity often makes things WORSE for females.
female and feminine? get misogyny
female and masculine? get misogyny
it’s almost like the thing that makes oppression so horrific is that you cannot opt out of it. because the system of oppression relies on immutable characteristics to effectively oppress people.
A great example of the trans community not being able to stick to one story. For the longest time they said that sex couldn’t be changed, but gender could. Then they started saying that both gender and sex change at the same time. Now some are pushing for the idea that sex changes but gender doesn’t? And nobody can agree with each other within the trans community on this, but you bet they’ll call you a bigot if you’re confused by it too.
They keep moving the goal posts, keep redefining their terms, and keep changing what being “trans” even is. The point is to leave you confused and exhausted by attempting to keep up with their rapidly changing terms.
