this is 1 dangerous, and 2 weird to me. if you know people aren’t going to like that or may not be into that… why wouldn’t you disclose that first?? it’s not that hard. i find it very weird. i dunno. it’s not like you’re entitled to sex. if someone’s not into that, they’re not into it.
This is actually rape by deception, and it's pretty normalised in the trans community. Here are a few examples of tra/trans trying to normalise rape by deception and raping lesbians.
Why is it they’re loud and proud about being trans online—literally tagging themselves as such with their faces—and yet want to hide it when they’re trying to have sex? Hmmm
this is genuinely rapey conversion therapy language & i can't believe other lesbians (pick me-bians) enable this rhetoric.
we keep being told that "genital preferences are okay/valid", but this coercive language is what we are met with & what we see. it's like we've forgotten that everything other than an enthusiastic yes is NOT consent.
if everyone is calling the homosexual lesbians expressing concern, transphobic, then how can they say no and practice homosexuality openly?
(keyword is: they can't)
they can jump over hoops & skrt around the definitions of what a penis is, but that won't change our attraction.
"ability" to be sexually assaulted is insane language.
this new notion of trans women being better at womanhood because they don't go through the fear and pessimism of living the reality of "womahood" in today's society.... is so... so misogynistic.
imagine looking in the eyes of one of those afghan girls who said they hate being a woman, or an exhausted mother, or a young girl being picked on by boys in school and saying this to them.
essentially, if you're not a toxicly positive bimbo who "enjoys" her womanhood despite all the violence & hatred she gets from society, you're doing the whole woman thing wrong.
how did we get here?
i hear men say they like misandrists bc they interpret it as playing hard to get great so some girls fake misandry just to get men's attention now too huh

"Feminists treat femininity as something weak or bad or inferior! That's misogyny!"
Darling, you're completely missing the point.
It's not "evil feminazis treat femininity as inferior". Patriarchy collected 'inferior' attributes — more precisely, 'attributes which are usually related to being submissive rather than being dominant, being passive rather than being assertive, being a slaver rather than being a master, and therefore useful tools for controlling and belittling others' — and labeled them as feminine.
Skirts, high heels, long hair, and wearing makeup are not inherently feminine. Being petite or slender or curvy isn't inherently feminine. Being quiet and gentle and docile isn't inherently feminine. These things are the reins that help men control and domesticate women as they like. 'Feminine' clothes and makeups restrain women from physically using their body freely; 'feminine' body requires women to go through various things which are dangerously unhealthy or completely unnecessary; women being quiet, submissive and passive make them easier targets for men to control; etc etc. These kinds of 'femininity' are the signs of a slave.
And misogynists say that feminists who criticize these things are misogynistic for talking bad about femininity and tomboys who don't want these things are actually trans or non-bi or genderfluid or whatever other bullshit for refusing femininity.
Fuck it, really.
Those things don't define being female. Not wanting those things doesn't mean we refuse to be female or secretly want to be male. That means we want to be human. Not a collective concept of frilly clothes and makeups and slender, hairless body and submission but fucking human.
This is why Korean radical feminists started 'off the corset' movement which now evolved into 6b4t. Lipstick feminists and choice feminists still have a long way to follow.

me when I'm constantly terrified about being assaulted, hear about countless femicides, womyn being raped, murdered, tortured, having their rights taken away, just to go online and see some moid talking about "online gender wars" and "misandry"
The worst part is when someone says "just log off and go outside, none of this is real!" That probably helps the men who think this is some both sides thing where they are constantly oppressed. But unfortunately for us, misogyny does affect every facet of our life, even more so when there is no screen separating you from these people.
I saw this comic,
And wanted to make some corrections and follow ups to it. The comments claimed this is what TERFs are all about and completely ignored the fact that TERFs do not exist.
TERFs aren't real. Radical feminists are real - radical means "root." The "root" cause of why the feminism movement exists is because female people are oppressed by male people on the axis of sex. It's plenty inclusive because it includes all female people.
aside from the everything else about this phenomenon: the fact that men being right-wingers or incels is attributed to women saying "I hate men," but women saying "I hate men" is never attributed to the millennia of violence and oppression men have inflicted on women, is just another iteration of "men are rational, women are emotional."
Men are assumed by default to have some kind of logic behind what they are doing, there's assumed to be some line of reasoning behind it, whereas women are considered hopelessly emotional and inconsistent to where it's futile to even try to understand where our behavior is coming from.
Telling a group of people who are historically harmed by misogyny that they
Should "Sit pretty and shut up"
Should be assaulted for what they're saying
Have no meaningful thoughts
Are only good for having sex with
Are only good for getting pregnant
Should be impregnated as a punishment
Only exist to serve others
Are being "bitchy" for being upset
Are making up the problems they're talking about
Are too stupid to talk about their own experiences
Must be exaggerating the extent of the treatment they face
And are too stupid to be in control of their own bodies
IS NOT FEMINISM!!!
You are repeating misogynistic rhetoric, and are a piece of shit.
You cannot be a feminist while using "bitch", "cunt", "whiny", and "hysterical", as insults.
And specifically targeting a marginalized group with hateful speech makes you a fucking bigot.
What women’s only spaces are transwomen even complaining about? They’ve invaded and destroyed almost every single one of them. They’re in every lesbian bar, every female social club, every women’s shelter, every woman-centric event, every hint of girl power must also reference them or risk being called transphobic. Hell, women just looking for female roommates are called intolerant bigots. What more could you possibly want from us?

people will talk about their super subversive fetish/kink which they claim is new and unique and then it’s just “men are abusive towards women” sorry buddy but someone beat you to that idea approximately 2.8 million years ago
For years I've thought my dysphoria wasn't "actual dysphoria" because I was able to acknowledge that it's caused by the social perception of myself, and I've only just realised that that is literally.. what dysphoria is, at least for women. The hatred and disgust I felt whenever my breasts were visible in the tshirt I was wearing, the way my stomach would turn whenever I got referred to as she, the way I'd feel sick and shudder whenever someone called me a girl; that was all due to me recognising from an early age that people would sexualise, degrade, objectify, belittle, dismiss me because of the sex I was unwillingly born as. Dysphoria is always described as some mystical "knowing" of your true, innate self... but in reality I think it's caused by the subconcious internalisation of misogynistic stereotypes and actions which we suffer through from being a young age, and the dysphoria is a mental manifestation of the feelings which arise when the girl or woman acknowledges these things as wrong and rejects them... but unfortunately, many of us end up going down the route of transition rather than therapy and unlearning these internalised ideas due to the prevalence of transgender ideology online, in YA books, in celebrity culture...
It's quite sickening to think of how this ideology profits off of our suffering.
When we say “this space is for women” they get mad because what about nonbinary people who are kinda women?
When we say “this space is for women and nonbinary people” they get mad because nonbinary people aren’t woman-lite!!1!11
When we say “this space is for female people” they get mad because that’s bioessentialism for some reason
When we say “this space is for those assigned female at birth” yeah you guessed it. Still bioessentialism. Yeah acknowledging that female human beings exist at all is bioessentialism actually.
But men’s spaces just promote themselves with “this space is for men” hmm…
I remember when we used to be able to talk about the fact that the oppressor feels entitled to designate spaces as only theirs and segregate the oppressed from those spaces, while feeling entitled to enter the oppressed's spaces at will.
someone else said it first but i’m forever revolted by the fact that gender clinics and other parts of our medical system define a “functional” vagina as any hole between the legs that a penis can be put in.
This is how society views female genitalia. They don't quite view it as a human organ in all the integrity that would insinuate. They view it kinda like an accessory to dick. It's defined in relation to dick- not defined by its own self. It's viewed as like a negative space juxtaposed to a positive object (dick). It's viewed as like the background to the main character (dick). It's not seen fully as its own thing with its own functions for its own right and its own integrity. Because of this, something interesting happens with the way people view women- we are seen both as sex objects, and as sexless objects simultaneously. This is the heart of why women aren't seen as fully human, in my opinion. Part of being human is having genitalia. Women aren't fully seen as having genitalia.
Anyway. This is why, in people's mind, it makes sense to cut a random hole and say what? It's exactly the same as a vagina what's the difference?
Adding this very important part that was put into the comments by @keepingitreluctant 👌
If you can understand how ice agents not having to identify themselves will lead to confusion from the public and imposters kidnapping people (which apparently has already started to happen), then you should also understand why “TERFs” are concerned about any male individual claiming an identity of a trans woman and then just being allowed to go wherever he wants.
Female prisons, restrooms, changing rooms, sports leagues, etc. have sex-based protections for a reason.

I wish there were studies on the actual damage men's torment does. The constant hyperawareness to prevent assault and the background noise of low-level stress from men "just teasing" or "just messing with" us cannot be healthy for our hearts. It hurts so much that they just LIKE to see us stressed and upset.
The other day I had a man openly admit to me that when I said I would not like a dick pic, it made him want to do it more. When I asked why, he responded "idk, just made me want to pick on you".
I don't care if it's nature or nurture anymore. I want to focus on the damage this constant awareness of danger does to women. I want to focus on how their constant need to fuck with us even in basic conversation leads to long term stress and damages women's confidence.
I hate to refer to a man on this and if anyone has other sources from female psychologists I would love them, but Dr. Gabor Maté, who is a very widely known psychologist believes that the reason why women get some diseases more often is because of the constant stress we're under, and how much we have to repress ourselves just to exist in this society. He's no feminist scholar, but even he can see the toll this takes on our bodies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taYVjQ0_ldA https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12535582/
To add to this: while men and women have similar or comparable rates of PTSD/CPTSD, the way that it is “developed” vary wildly.
Research has shown that men are far more likely to develop PTSD due to a standalone traumatic event compared to women who — as stated — are more likely to develop CPTSD due to prolonged traumatic events.
While different studies or papers will report slightly different numbers, all agree that women are more “tormented” by daily life than men and thus develop worse mental illness due to it. This study in particular even states that “cisgender women are 2 to 3 times more likely to develop PTSD and CPTSD than men, even when exposed to similar trauma types.”
TLDR; being a cis woman in the world is so traumatic we are 2 to 3 times more likely to develop PTSD than a man by simply living in the world with them.
Also why is there not more research done on male cruelty? Why do they do this shit? Why do groups of boys form together to do horrible things to women? Why is my local Target being tormented by a group of teenage boys yelling about sexual assault and rape in the children's section to the point that moms are afraid to go there with their kids? Why do they see innocent people and get glee out of tormenting them? I have never seen the sadistic glee of hurting other random people out of a fellow women like I frequently see in boys and men. Why are they like that?
three other posts I've reblogged with info on stuff like this:
male gaze under patriarchy changes the brain
objectification diminishes brain capacity
self-silencing is making women sick
This is why I get so mad when lefties try to pretend it’s caused by something else.
fascinating how often men expect women to sympathize with their fears of being perceived as or treated like a woman
so much "masculinity" is constructed around the certainty that being gay or being a woman is inherently demeaning. and we're supposed to nod along supportively
"male loneliness crisis" ok so like.....what would happen if you started acting like a better friend to other men in your life? what's stopping you? is it the fear of being perceived as one of your inferiors?
"men aren't allowed to show emotions" ok so like…..what would happen if you started being more emotionally expressive? what's stopping you? is it the fear of being perceived as one of your inferiors?
#patriarchy hurts men #patriarchy hurts boys
i think you've VERY fundamentally misunderstood the point of my post tbh
men and boys first and foremost hurt themselves to avoid being perceived as their lessers (i.e. women and gay men)
they could stop. but the punishment is being perceived as one of us, and that would be just terrible. so they won't.
“The first act of violence that patriarchy demands of males is not violence toward women. Instead patriarchy demands of all males that they engage in acts of psychic self-mutilation, that they kill off the emotional parts of themselves. If an individual is not successful in emotionally crippling himself, he can count on patriarchal men to enact rituals of power that will assault his self-esteem.”
— The Will To Change: Men, Masculinity, and Love (2004), p. 66, by bell hooks
So, yeah, those tags seem to me to be reasonably related to your point.
yes, your tags would be appropriate for an entirely different person's book. not my post. well observed
the entire point of the of the post is that i'm not going to sympathize with men experiencing "rituals of power that will assault his self-esteem" when that self-esteem is built on and maintained by the foundational belief they must be inherently superior to me
if they gave up that belief, those "rituals" would have very little power. but they clearly understand that they benefit from patriarchy more than they are harmed by it, which is why they won't let it go
hope this helps
