I don’t think it’s bad to root for your country even if the current American administration is horrible!! I’m a first generation American and while I don’t like how trump is handling this country I was still rooting for the U.S to win because I love the opportunities this country has given me that were impossible in my home country. Plus just because you’re rooting for your country doesn’t mean you’re rooting for the current government. I see people wanting to root for other countries like Colombia, Egypt, Morocco etc. but not rooting for the U.S because of politics when the countries you’re rooting for are more corrupt than this American administration and I’m saying this as an immigrant.
