They're angry about TIFs being welcomed in lesbian spaces because they want to be there instead, they think they're more worthy of being there. They frame it as concern for "men in lesbian spaces" and it makes them furious, because they know inside that they are the actual men in lesbian spaces.

They're angry about women and TIFs talking about our sex based oppression, because they wish they had oppression to talk about. They try to claim they're oppressed for their dicks, but deep down they're aware that they know nothing about sex based oppression and never will.

They're extremely angry about lesbians existing. They grew up feeling entitled to women's bodies, and lesbians rejecting them made them angry because they wanted access to them. So they tried to make up a workaround by identifying as a lesbian, and it infuriates them when it doesn't work, because they so badly want to force women into having sex with them.

Earlier in the TRA movement, a lot of women tried to be more inclusive by labelling things as "for women and people identify as women". It was a genuine attempt to be inclusive, but it wasn't enough for TIMs, because it still made it clear to them that we know the difference between them and women.

It reminds me of that unhinged TIM post ranting about how he hated this womam because she complimented him, but he spiralled in his own head about how she doesn't really see him as a woman and how he hates her, and all women because of it.

My friend who left her Amish order at age 19, who was the eldest daughter to a family of nine, who never had a birthday party, whose days of cooking and cleaning and farm labor and taking care of her younger siblings started at 4:30 am, has never felt the urge to do ageplay 

My coworker, who raised her violent younger brother and fended for herself in a filthy double-wide trailer where her parents were either gone or raging drunk at home, who couldn't even dare to invite a friend over because of how horrifying her home life was, has never felt the urge to have a slumber party pillow fight

My neighbor's mother, who grew up as a house girl in southern India, who was born into a life of drugery and hiddenness and abuse, who wasn't allowed to even touch the toilet or dining utensils of the house she was forced to work in for 10 hours a day as a child, has never felt the urge to drink out of a Disney princess sippy cup 

Just remember that "princesses," contrary to the stereotypes about their pampering, were mere bargaining chips. They were artificially pushed out of power, driven back to tea parties and dress fittings, because their primary function was to be sold and then regularly subjected to sexual and reproductive violence.

All of the following are extreme performances of femininity that have faced backlash and caused discourse around what it means to be an acceptable feminine woman in society by undermining what is typically expected or accepted from hyper feminine women

Examples of subversive hyper femininity:

1. Lolita fashion in Japan: This form of dress specifically developed to resist the stifling pressure of Japanese society to grow up into a mature, reasonable, and picturesque woman

2. The emergence of Goth culture in the UK: Goth culture has caused various moral panics as it was considered sexually deviant due to its emphasis on hyper femininity and androgyny when it first emerged

Her songs frequently take advantage of pink hyperfeminine imagery like bras, Barbie, and thongs to spark controversy. She has an entire song about how to finger a woman and the music video spotlights the sexuality of disabled and Brown lesbians. I personally consider her body of work both hyper feminine and subversive. At a glance, the words Bimbocore can seem anti intellectual, but the creator itself is creating layered and sardonic music that requires you to engage with ideas of what it means to be both hyperfeminine and tongue in cheek advocate for violence against men

Addressing your tags as well, I am, believe it or not, a lesbian community organizer who dresses alternatively as well. Me providing examples countering your claim is not mansplaining femininity and subversive culture. It was literally just examples that came to my mind that are both hyperfeminine and counterculture

To say Lolita and Gothic fashion are not subversive is ahistorical. If anyone other than OP wants sources on the initial moral panics they caused as well as the ways in which they protested established social norms, I can dig some up since I do like doing archival work. On the other hand, a discussion on if Lolita and Gothic fashion are hyper feminine or feminine is a conversation that I'd be interested to hear differing takes on, since they are both extremely feminine from my perspective

I feel like you are not engaging in this discussion in good faith, so to anyone else who wants to discuss subversive feminine subcultures, this is what I have to offer, and I'm always happy to hear more about them or hear other beliefs regarding what it means to be hyperfeminine and/or subversive. I can also dig up sources and studies on all my claims for anyone interested in reading more, but I won't be doing that work for someone who doesn't actually care to listen and respond to me respectfully

a girl dressed in goth fashion may wear a corset that shapes her body and restricts her movement. she may wear heavy makeup, where the entire industry exists for men to profit off of women’s insecurities. she may wear large uncomfortable heels that restrict her movement and make it more difficult just to get around in. it’s still femininity. it’s still restricting for women. it’s still a result of the patriarchy. it still contributes to a much larger issue. it doesn’t make her special for doing it in a different way.
