with this post, i hope to help other people realize how a lot of syscord spaces manage to radicalize people into being aggressive, extremely demeaning and bitter people, by default. this doesn't apply to every system-based discord server, but the big ones where you get dogpiled and then shittalked for anything wrong you do — instead of, you know, being properly talked to like you're a person

I’m plural. Many. More than one. However you want to say it. But I do genuinely think of that as “I get to have friends in my head”. Barely a disorder at all. The actual debilitating parts of my dissociation are everything else. Like, just yesterday I spaced out hard enough that I lost track of my surroundings and hit my shoulder hard enough to break skin. Today I had to do the annoying work of trying to study for my exam while feeling extremely unreal and like I was going to dissolve into the floor. But no one talks about those things when talking about dissociation/dissociative disorders. Why not? Because it’s not aesthetic? Because there’s no spectacle to it?

Maybe I’m looking in the wrong places. But it feels weird to search dissociation and only get plurality/multiplicity content. I’m glad I found this blog. And I feel bad for the dissociative singlets who really really don’t relate to most “dissociation” content.

The cursed songs some of these mfs add!! Like why do we have that “now i’m gonna bark at you” song in it?? Or a song that’s mostly just construction sounds????? which alter liked those songs and added them?

I find it so infuriating when people dig for everyone in our system, especially when they question about the littles, because no, we won’t share that with a random stranger online.

Think about how people dislike family vloggers and generally encourage people to not show their kid’s faces and names online. Same concept, but the kid was also previously horribly traumatized.

With our system we don’t share any headmates that aren’t adults online unless they are both teenagers or older and also are anonymous. It’s about being a responsible adult and keeping children safe, especially with online spaces being the way that they are.

Different systems share different amounts about their littles and headmates who are minors, and that is their decision and their business! Respect that as well.
