Hello, I'd like to preface that this is not the original moderator for @this-is-intersexism!! We are Charlie/Bear from @interhusband (we are plural and switch between I/we pronouns. Please use he/hir pronouns for us). This is a replacement blog since the original tii was terminated due to the rampant Intersexism on this website.

We are also the mods for @this-is-fatnoirism @frutiger-mogai @trans-butch-culture-is and @black-butch-culture-is

Here, we wish to share more instances of Intersexism and the experiences of our community. We will not be silenced, no matter how hard Tumblr tries to. Allies are welcome to submit experiences, but intersex voices will be prioritized.

No form of bigotry will be tolerated. That includes transandromisia, transmisogyny, exorsexism, ableism, saneism, racism, xenophobia, or antisemitism.

BOUNDARIES:

• if you have questions about oc’s or writing advice, please keep to talking about intersexist stories/characters or “is my character/how I’m writing them intersexist?” Type of submissions. I no longer showcase oc’s or receive ask about writing advice beyond that!!

• nothing too explicit/sexual, do not overly describe your external genitals or your sexual activity (please direct such questions to @/comprehensive-sex-ed).

• (because this apparently has to be said) don't use my inbox as a confessional, please [link]. I don't want to hear about the intersexist things you have done as a perisex person or continue to do unless it is to ask for advice or resources to learn and do better.

• if you are having bad, dark, or harmful thoughts about yourself or others, please seek out organizations that I have listed below, talk to trusted people in your life, or invest in a journal. Genuinely. There is only so much I can do in advising you through dark times of internalized intersexism, especially when you aren't aware of it and aren't asking for my help. I am NOT a professional, I am not equipped to handle such situations.

• please keep full blown drama to a minimum. If there is a discourse that involves intersexuality, that is okay, but keep unrelated discourses or dramas involving individuals that are unrelated to me out of my inbox. This blog is not for that!

• if you have any variation of the “I’m bodily perisex, but I have an intersex headmate, what should I do?” My answer will be the same so please stop asking. Innosex [link], parintersex [link] and altersex [link] are right there.

I'm curious how many intersex people who participate in @gendercensus write-in "intersex" in the section where you get to write in any gender descriptors not already provided for you.

For those unfamiliar, it's a short annual survey of people whose gender in any way does not neatly fit into the binary.

You get a question where you can check off common terms like transgender and nonbinary, and then 10 empty slots you can use to write in terms that were not provided. Writing in "intersex" in that part is the only means in the survey for somebody to indicate they are intersex, as the survey does not directly ask intersex status.

This year's Gender Census is still open if you haven't filled it in yet!

being intersex is quite possibly the most isolating thing i’ve ever experienced. all my life, i felt alone. that no one in the world knew what was wrong with me. that i was a weird, abnormal freak.

i felt horrible. and so, i made sure that i would make people like me feel seen

every day, i see people sharing the terms i created, talking about how relatable they are. when i first saw someone talking about how seen they felt (i love you smilepilled!!!!) my heart was a damn opera, it was singing so much!

Vincent "Vox" Whittman from Hazbin Hotel is intersex, transfeminine, ipsomasculine (link), and trigenderflux (link) (man/demigirl/maverique (link)), his gender stealth using exclusively he/him but privately using he/him, she/her, and it/its pronouns, and her variations are SRY-negative De la Chapelle Syndrome and Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) with hyperandrogenism, mild hyperestrogenism, gynecomastia, and ambiguous genitalia consisting of hypospadias, cryptorchidism, and a labioscrotum. It is also disabled, and likes shark/sharks pronouns but is afraid to use neopronouns in any capacity.

Ulteripso / Ipsoulter flag and symbol

I had planned on making these forever ago but only just found a format I was decently happy with. It combines the format of the Ultergender flag with the Ipsogender flag. I used my sensory friendly edits of both to avoid eyestrain !!

You can use these for any Ulteripso / Ipsoulter identities and not just Ulteripsogender / Ipsoultergender, Ulteripsosex / Ipsoultersex. etc.

Here are the isolated symbols for use anywhere.

The symbol is a combination of multiple alchemical symbols for Earth ( the circle with a cross inside and the triangle with a line ), the symbol for the planet mercury, and multiple different elements of gender symbols ( cross, circle, asterisk, arrow, etc. ) and can be used in any rotation / orientation / color. Basically just pick whatever looks best or your aesthetic preference.

I ended up going a different route than just a combination of the existing Ulter- and Ipso- symbols since they look so similar. Also, I wanted Ulteripso / Ipsoulter to have more of it's own identity ( since there are those who use it only as a combination, Ulteripso people who wouldn't consider themselves Ipso outside of their Ulteripso identity, etc. )

I'll be posting the higher quality files of everything on my Deviantart whenever I can. These were in my drafts for a very long time and are being posted with assistance from someone else, so if there are any formatting issues please ( kindly ) let us know and we'll fix it !!
