Yes!

I personally use Qwant. It gives you normal-ass search results, doesn't cram AI down your throat, and is very privacy-focused. It doesn't always have the most complete results but it's been perfectly fine for my daily use - it's been my primary search engine for a couple years now.

Duck Duck Go is also very good. They do have an AI search option but it's truly an option. They're also quite privacy-focused but they are based in the US (Qwant is headquartered in France). They're also available in more regions than Qwant is. I used it for a year or so but the AI bugged me.

I've heard good things about Startpage though I haven't used it myself. Its big selling point for a while was they used google's search results without tracking you, though if google doesn't *have* search results anymore who knows what their future holds. Based in NL.

Gives me the results I want. The website I expect to be at the top is actually at the top.

take up space, read the plaques, get the audioguides. you are just as entitled and right in being there. visit museums, boycott museums, be expressive about your opinions about museums.

a lot of museums are free, or discounted for youth and students. take advantage of that. check your local art museum. check your local history museum. museums are there for you, they are there to educate the public, not to distinguish between class. it isn't a private collection, it's a public exhibit.

good museums should be all about giving you access! And while its great if they are free (like CMA) and its great if you can afford to help them out.... if they are pay only, give them a call and ask them if they have free days, or if they let in students, or locals, or the elderly, or volunteer for membership programs. If not, send an ol email to some board members (leave staff alone, they don't make the rules).

Another great way to make sure a museum is supporting you is check their website for future plans! So many stuffy ol museums are making great strides to become less stuffy, but you can only know that if they are being transparent! If they arn't letting you know what they plan to do, ASK A BOARD MEMBER. Are they trying to bring in artists from different backgrounds? hire a more diverse staff with expertise in fields they need to expand in? are they trying to get more people in the door and serve their community? here is a good example of a 5 year plan.

I have to assume that in the fullness of time, at least once, a mouse has used a mushroom as an umbrella.
