So I read the book, and almost everytime Jim gave/made Freddie a gift, Freddie would always show it off and say “My husband got me those!” or “My husband made that for me!” It’s so sweet, especially for this one part when they first started dating:

This is from Mercury and Me by Jim Hutton. I hunted all over and couldn’t find this book online or in my local library’s network. Some good news- if anyone else is looking for this book it’s available on the Internet Archive!

ok so, I approached my local library with a proposal to donate a mural as a way to A: build portfolio/gain practical experience and B: give back to a beloved public institution.
