i wish noah had swatted the two mosquitoes from his ark
We rollin
but can you open up the sole to get the dice out or is this a misuse of perfectly good polyhedra
You know, that’s a fair question. I’d like them even more if they were just dice bags you walk on!
They do open up so you could get them out but it's not super easy since the hole is a bit small. (The shoes didn't come with the dice, i had to put some of my collection in)
Oooh! Neat!
I was not expecting an answer to this question but I am delighted to have received one!
The Angel of Death
FISTS YOU
And then you Die
Context: my teacher translated the verb “to grasp with one’s hand” as “to fist” since that’s kinda what it literally means, but you can’t translate it like that into English because “to fist” means something ENTIRELY different, but she doesn’t know that.
So she was explaining how they use the verb to describe the angel of death taking your soul — he rips your soul out of you with his fist. Now that’s pretty damn metal, but she said word for word “the angel of death fists you, and then you die” which is the single most terrifying and powerful sentence to ever grace my ears
Op i appreciate the context but i was going to rb anyway no questions asked
googledocs you are getting awfully uppity for something that can’t differentiate between “its” and “it’s” correctly
oho and now you’re questioning my adverb usage? you? you?
you fucking dare?
you try to change ‘tears’ to ‘years’ for no reason but don’t catch ‘imporint’???
hey quick question gdocs
what the fuck

so apparently some people feel like it’s annoying when someone engages with a lot of stuff from the same person, like going through their ship tag and liking all the content there.
hearing about this, i was immediately paranoid about reblogging literally anything from anyone i don’t talk to on a regular basis.
so to save others from the same paranoia, i’m gonna say that if you like every single post on my goddamn blog it is okay. i might be kind of concerned about your level of time management, going through 23,000 posts, but it wouldn’t bother me.
Then you’ve learned nothing. - No, I’ve learned everything. And I’ve had to learn it on my own.
Okay, but I really love it how Zuko doesn’t just learn to change from one person—he learns from multiple people. When he’s speaking truth to power (his father), he’s not regurgitating Iroh’s wisdom—he is speaking his own words, borne of lessons that many people taught him. Watching Zuko betray Iroh at the end of Book 2, you could be forgiven for thinking that Zuko hadn’t been listening to the reality presented to him over and over again… And then you find out, oh yes, he was listening.

Yeah now this is a post alright
I sob when I think about the actual stress Annabeth must have been under from botl to tlo imagine being fifteen right now, I was so incapable at fifteen and she had to worry about a grown man depending on her to do the right thing, then had to turn away said grown man, someone she thought was family because it wasn’t the right thing to do, then had to come to terms with the fact that her best friends life was ending, deal with the feelings she was developing for him, have him die on her for two weeks only to find out that while she was mourning him he was falling in love with a goddess and tHEN have him bring in the OTHER girl he MIGHT have feelings for to lead HER quest that she’d been waiting for for eight bloody years and then!!! And then there’s a fucking WAR and all her friends that she grew up with are dying and getting hurt and Hermes blames her and she can’t tell anyone because he’s RIGHT and it’s all her fault because if she’d just run away with Luke,, and then she freaks out because she instinctively knows Percy’s in danger so she takes a knife for him and ends up saving his life but she’s lying there with silena fretting over her because she’s pretty sure she’s dying and thinking about how she never told anyone about Luke trying to be better or confessed her feelings for Percy and she just really loves both of them so much and she’s DYING and she’s thinking maybe that’s the part she’s meant to play in the prophecy like Pan told her I just!!!!!!!! A fifteen year old CHILD!!!!!!!!
the intrinsic urge to prepare for trouble
The essential need to make it double

This right here is the thesis statement for the entire Percy Jackson series.
To elaborate: there's a lot going on here. On one level, this affirms that Percy values Annabeth's opinion over almost anyone else (his mom, Tyson, and Grover also rank really high). Even over the Gods. What the Olympians think, the ones who hold the power to destroy them, wreck their lives, or save them, what they have to say on Percy's life and choices, it doesn't matter. It's small and insignificant next to the opinions and wisdom of one Annabeth Chase. Their approval or disapproval is nothing to hers. Their irration is canceled out by her happiness.
But why I really say 'this is the thesis statement of the Percy Jackson series,' and I mean it, is that it's not just about this moment, and it's not just about Annabeth. This whole series is about how both gods and monsters make life really fucking hard for half-bloods, and it would be easy to be so scared and reverent of them and live your life trying not to get blasted. But the heroes in this series don't do that. Their ultimate source of wisdom, of help, of comfort and courage, it's each other, not the gods. The kids saved Olympus together, along with some mortals, cyclopses, centaurs, and a little help from a few gods (those being Percy and Nico's dads).
PJO isn't about the gods. It's about heroes. Whether those heroes are half-bloods, monsters, mortals, or occasionally, gods. It's about knowing who your friends are, who has your back, who has your best interests at heart, who you think of when you make choices because you want them to be happy too. The people with the power, with authority, don't matter next to the people who are actually keeping you alive, who make your life worth living. That's what it's about. The gods can go fuck themselves, because we've got each other.
me and my friend jessie are physically incapable of having a normal fucking conversation so things happen where we accidently end up rping a dude bro trying to hit on me, an ordinary woman who is not a snake

just stumbled across Francisco Soria Aedo's work and first off: really good painter, super talented. He mainly did portraits and neoclassical but I really like are his expressions, which do show up in his neoclassical work. lots of people smiling and having fun and it's just very cute
this is one of my favorites
heres a couple more examples!
...i dont thing I’ve ever seen this style with people smiling...
I had this headcanon for a while now.
I think One for All, the quirk, feels terrifying when you’re around it.
Genuinely goosebumps-inducing-like, the kind of energy that leaves the lizard part of your brain urgently poking at you and reminding you that you’re soft and squishy and need to go now.
This is a ninth generation quirk, in a world where the older the quirk, the more powerful and volatile it becomes. To give you an idea, Izuku’s age group is supposed to be sixth generation.
I find it very suspicious that everyone recognized this power as similar to All Might’s quirk when Izuku uses it. Not an extremely powerful power type, but specifically All Might’s quirk.
Todoroki couldn’t help but to use his flames when Izuku used the quirk too close to him. Shigaraki outright called it similar to All Might, and so did Endeavor.
So here is what I think. People sense that there is unnatural with the quirk. They sense some insane and barely controlled amount of power and the part of their brain in charge of keeping them alive notices it.
Imagine people suddenly on edge and they realize that it’s because Izuku suddenly activated Full Cowl right next to them.
People being constantly taken by surprise with the contrast between Izuku at rest and Izuku when he uses his quirk, claiming that it’s because of how plain he usually looks, but it’s just because their conservation instinct just slammed the red button of Time to run for your life.
1-A classmates having trouble focusing on what they’re doing when they are too close to a Full Cowling Izuku because they had to share their attention between what they’re supposed to do and an immediate threat.
All Might’s whole persona of Symbol of Peace managed to fool a whole generation into not freaking it when a power that can change the weather with brute strength brushes past them. Izuku is probably benefiting from decades of good PR so people don’t take a step back every time he uses his quirk.
Why
She had a dream and she realized it.
Hey wait but sit down
This is Megumi Igarashi
She’s a Japanese artist
Japan, the country with some of the most fucked up pornography and the penis festival
Where the vagina is basically illegal to talk about
So she did a bunch of art featuring 3D sculptures of her vagina, including this kayak, and was put in jail for it
She was indicted again in December on obscenity charges for selling vagina art to crowdfund for the kayak and could spend two years in prison
In Japan, women’s vaginas are treated as though they are men’s property. The trains here usually display pornographic advertisements. As a woman, I find that blatant objectification to be humiliating. I’m disgusted by it. My body belongs to me. So, with this project I wanted to release the vagina from the standard Japanese paradigm. Japan is lenient towards expressions of male sexuality and arousal, but not so for women. When a woman uses her body in artistic expression, her work gets ignored, and people treat her as if she’s some sex-crazed idiot. It all comes back to misogyny. And the vagina is at the heart of it. The vagina is ridiculed. It’s lusted after. Men don’t see women as equals—to them, women are just vaginas. Then they call my vagina-themed work “obscene,” and judge me according to laws written by and for men. [x]
She plans to turn her trial in to a manga comic. She seems pretty sure she’s not going to do any jail time but if you’d like to help her pay for her inevitable fine and court fees, you can check out her online store. There are little glow in the dark vagina characters.
Wow I’ve seen this reblogged a ton of times without seeing the whole going to jail part.
Here’s a recent article about her from July of 2017. It looks like she did some brief time in jail, and is currently still working on this artistic effort, as well as trying to raise awareness about a new terrorism law and the jail/prison system in Japan.
Reblogging again for the updates!
I went from “wow why” to “YES GIRL” in 2 min.

That post got me thinking while I don't get have an answer on how many kids it did make me realize that I think Emmett is and always has been a Mama's boy, I see him getting on better with Esme and he probably is like "hey Es can I lift that for you" and hes just more on her mental wave length, he respects Carlisle ofc but I think he responds better to maternal validation, what are your thoughts?
I could definitely see that. Esme and Emmett both have a more down-home, humble, emotionally intelligent vibe. Esme grew up on a farm. Carlisle grew up with a pastor–and while he preached at a “poor vicarage,” the sons of clergy tended to be well-educated, and certainly in the centuries since Carlisle’s got a lot of education of the nerdy/science variety that probably doesn’t appeal to Emmett all that much. Esme building things, and cooking things, and working with the earth is much more in line with Emmett’s strength and experience. I could definitely see them being close. I imagine one of Carlisle and Emmett’s bonding activities is vampire/horror movies though. Like Emmett just loves them for the fun and the scares and honestly the LULZ because so much of it is wrong. For Carlisle it’s more sociological, he’s curious about how human attitudes about vampires have changed over time. Whenever a new vampire movie comes out Carlisle and Emmett go watch it together.
Heck, you can actually capture wild yeast just by mixing flour and water into a thin paste, covering the jar with cheesecloth to keep bugs out, and just like. Letting it sit on the counter overnight.
After about 24 hours, pour off half, feed with some more flour-water slurry, and leave alone again. Repeat this every 24-48 hours.
After a couple days it will be bubbly and frothy, and bam. There you have it. Your own wild yeast sourdough starter. Put it in the fridge and you only have to feed it every 5-6 days.
To bake bread, take like a cup of the starter and add more flour and salt and whatever else you want to put in there to make bread dough. Replenish starter. Repeat forever.
Is there any risk of wild yeast being dangerous to eat? My only experience with this sorta thing is with homebrewing alcohol amd you have to be uber careful there, I’m curious why bread is different.
Nope u good.
You have to be careful with wild yeast when homebrewing because some strains of yeast makes the booze taste funky, not because it would make the booze dangerous.
