my husband just realized that his sister does not actually invite us to family functions
about ten years ago his sister went on a cruise with her husband and three kids, her mother and father in law and two of her nieces, my brother-in-law and his girlfriend, and my mother and father in law. she paid for the entire trip for everyone. we were not invited.
one time he got stuck at work on christmas because of a blizzard and i spent christmas alone because his sister said if he wasn't attending, there was no need for me to show up
this past christmas we were explicitly told there was "no more room" at her place to host us for family dinner for two hours.
today when we called to wish his mom a happy birthday and ask if we could take her to lunch she reluctantly invited us to the birthday party at his sister's that was going on

anyway he is staring at the wall and is bright red. men are so silly! i already had this rager ten years ago with the fucking cruise incident, sheesh
