The Black Nerd. A common character type, the nerd will always be very interested in all things nerdy: science, video games, mathematics, etc. In an continued effort to combat stereotypes, the Black Nerd will be lack athleticism, probably being asthmatic (the nerdiest of conditions). The Black Nerd will dress smartly, suspenders and bow ties. They’ll always talk smart too, using proper English with complex words.

Now, I don’t have a problem with a black character being a nerd, indeed black people are a people; we aren’t all the same and we all have varying personalities. The problem I have is that too often we see a distinct disconnect between Blackness and the Black Nerd. The Black Nerd doesn’t listen to hip hop or rap, only classical music. The Black Nerd only has white friends, the only other black characters are into not nerdy stuff. The Black Nerd never ever uses AAVE at any time in any context.

This was news from thee newscast here (Tagesschau) so the article is only in German but here my favourite parts:

- for a long time the only reason they knew the worm existed were the traces it left on the corals it ate, no one ever saw it

- until one day they found a one point five metre long part of the worm that was still wiggling

- only the part was missing the head, and the corals continued to be eaten, so apparently the worm just got rid of its bum and continued on like normal

- DNA tests of the bum could not determine its species, only that it is in some way related to the bobbit worm (also called eunice aphroditois), so this might be an entirely new species

- the worm is called 'Phantom'

- they installed cameras for four days, but didn't manage to capture the worm, after removing the cameras the worm continued eating the corals - right where the cameras had been

- the guy who positioned the camera said to that 'Lots of material, sadly extremly little worm, as in neither a long nor the short worm. We haven't seen anything.'

- now they have installed a camera again and a popular german news channel is streaming the whole night so that everyone can search for Phantom:

Just truly no matter how tired he is, he knows making sure she's happy and cared for is Part of his job. That man does not clock out. He's making plans to pick up flowers and dessert on the way home tomorrow in case a long day turns into a long week (and he's had some long weeks)

Like Yor is So good at supporting him and taking care of the family and she loves to. But she's also been without support for a long time. Facing those hardships for herself and Yuri unblinking all alone.

And he does it like breathing. Making those feasts. Making sure her favorite snacks are stocked. Setting up tailor and doctor appointments and picking up new plates when too many break. She doesn't have to Ask. He shares the mental load. She has to Ask HIM to share it with her!

Despite Loids failings and the deception he Is a good husband and Yor deserves that so much. She deserves to have someone to share the load with. Who makes it clear again and again she's not only welcome in their home but that they're delighted to have her. This IS your home too.

I want her chest to fill up with it. With all the love Loid and Anya and Bond pour into this house and into Her. Because she puts so much love into them in turn. I want her to cry those happy tears again. She deserves joy so intense she can't stand it.
