So, status update on my YouTube channel videos, I've sat down and taken stock of my current queue, and it's quite possible that I'll have to start scheduling videos more than twice a month sometime next year, or else I've got videos in the queue NOW that won't see the light of day until 2028 at the earliest.
Some of those are fine by me that way. something like seven of these potential videos are more basic filler content meant to give me breathing room to work on more challenging/ambitious projects, and assuming all of them make good videos I should have a 3-5 day turnaround on each of them.
Anyway we've got, in order:
Omamer vs Pokemon 152-251 (looking like just 1 video)
Omamerversary Jackbox Party (2-4 videos)
Would You Press The Button (1 video)
Absurd Trolley Problems (1 video)
Telltale's Strong Bad Episodes 3-5 (likely 6 videos in total)
Guilty as Sock collab (1 video)
Crashout Crew collab (1 video)
Telltale's Wallace & Gromit Episodes 1-4 (4-8 videos)
Telltale's Back To The Future (5-10 videos)
Then, yet this year, I'm going to record Pokesmash videos where I fight Pokemon Gen. 3-9 (it's gonna be a recurring theme on Thursday streams for a bit. Sorry), Star Trek: Resurgence, and possibly Telltale's Jurassic Park, as well. Resurgence is 3 episodes, so possibly 6 videos, and Jurassic Park is 4, so maybe 8. Each Pokemon generation will be 1-2 videos, depending on how many Pokemon are in the generation.
If I've done my math correctly and every single one of these projects turns out to be viable, that's as many as 55 videos, and I'm confident I can get at least 9 of them done by the end of this year.
If editing habits and patterns from June hold, the videos from the first 5 bullet points will take 3 days apiece to edit, the Telltale chapters will take 2-4 weeks per video, and the collabs could be 1 week or 2 months. I wish I could be more specific. I got started on the first video in the queue today, and I expect to be working on Strong Bad Episode 3 by September, with both halves out in November/December.
It may seem like a LOT. That's because it is. I likely wouldn't be planning so many projects at once if it weren't for the fact that I am anticipating that, by the end of the year, I might lose my consistent streaming window, so I need to get it all recorded before that happens.
Anyway, yeah, if I only release 2 videos a month, then by time all these are published, it'll literally be 2029, which is insane and probably a sign I need a better system.
