This quick and easy skillet lasagna is a delicious twist on the classic comfort food. With three types of cheese and savory beef sauce, it's sure to be a hit with the whole family.
Ingredients: 8 lasagna noodles. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 onion, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 pound ground beef. 1 can 28 ounces crushed tomatoes. 1 teaspoon dried basil. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 cup ricotta cheese. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Fresh basil leaves for garnish optional.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the lasagna noodles. Remove the water and set it aside. Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat. Cut up the onion and garlic and add them. About 34 minutes of cooking will soften the food. Break up the ground beef with a spoon as it cooks until it turns brown, which should take about 5 to 6 minutes. Add salt, pepper, dried basil, dried oregano, and crushed tomatoes. Let it mix well. Let it cook for 10 minutes. Warm up the broiler. Cover the bottom of the pan with half of the meat sauce. Place half of the cooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce. If necessary, break the noodles up to fit. Spread half of the ricotta cheese on top of the noodles. Then, sprinkle the noodles with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Add more layers with the rest of the ingredients. Put the pan under the broiler and broil for three to four minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly. If you want, you can add fresh basil leaves as a garnish. Enjoy while hot!
