legit the best advice i can give you: feed your friends
any time someone is in any kind of crisis or upheaval, offer to feed them. tell them they don't have to choose what it is if they can't make decisions, just ask about allergies and preferences and tell them you're just gonna make food happen at their house.
friend having a baby? delivery gift certificate to order food to the hospital after the kid shows up.
someone's relative passes away? offer to make them dinner.
buddy gets laid off? ask if you can order them lunch.
pal stuck in a depressive episode? offer to drive them to fucking mcdonalds, if that's what they want.
people in crisis are tired and sad and angry and the last thing most of them are doing is thinking about feeding themselves. so if you have the ability or time or money, providing that is always, always a good move.
legit i do this all the time, and it is 100% always appreciated. i have taught all my friends that when something happens, we feed each other. it makes people feel extremely cared for, and I cannot recommend it enough.

Here’s is my Fairy Tail OCs since they weren’t given any canon characterizations outside of being apart of Bickslow’s entourage and I have decided to go buck wild with it. So here are my version’s of Bickslow’s spirits. I’m also ditching the canon names because they suck, there is no use in lying to me about that because they are genuinely poorly named.
First and foremost these are not what they look like to most people. This is merely what Bickslow sees when he looks at them.
From left to right is oldest, in death not when they joined Bickslow’s party.
First up is September (Originally the Peppe doll.) she is the pink spirit, she died in a fire in a circus when she was 10 during the Fairy Tail equivalent of the 1800s-1870s. Max (Originally the Pippi doll. Like i said the OG names are ass) was 15 and was also in the same circus tent fire and was helping guests out of the tent but was unable to escape it himself. He was actually a member of the circus and was a part of the fire act crazy enough.
Next is Dakota (Originally the Puppu doll). She was 13 when she died. It was the Fairy Tail equivalent of the Great Depression, more specifically the Dust Bowl, and her tiny little home town was right next to a river and it proceeded to flood the entire town and it drowned her.
Next is Nimah (The Poppo doll), they were in 1965-1970s when they died. They were 17 and was the lead actor in a play at their school and during the opening, just when they were about to end the scene one of the stage lights broke and landed on top of their head.
And last but certainly not least, we have “Rooster”. Rooster (whose canon name was Pappa) is actually Bickslow’s brother in my au and died during a fight with an older kid who hit him in the head with a glass bottle and caused him internal bleeding, ultimately killing him when he fell asleep. He was 12 when he died and Bickslow was 15 when he brought his spirit back.
Each spirit has their own unique story behind them and how Bickslow brought them into his group. I haven’t figured out what their standard, casual, or battle forms are yet but if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them!
(p.s. if anyone can give me tips on how to draw animatronics that would be great 👌)
Suddenly struck with a need to explain to you how boat pronouns work (I work in the marine industry).
When you're talking about the design of the boat, you say "it".
When the boat is still being built, your say "it".
When the boat is nearing completion, you can say "it" or "she".
When the boat is floating in the water you probably say "she", unless there is still a lot of work to be done (e.g. no engine yet) then you say "it".
When the boat is officially launched and operating, you say "she". If you continue to say "it" at this point you are not incorrect but suspiciously untraditional. You are not playing the game.
If you are referring to a boat you don't really know anything about you may say "it" ("there's a big boat, it's coming this way"). But if you know its name, it's probably "she" ("there's the Waverley, she's on her way to Greenock").
If you are talking about boats in general, you say "it" ("when a boat is hit by a wave it heels over")
If you speak about a boat in complimentary terms, it's "she" ("she's a grand boat"). If you are being disparaging it may be it, but not necessarily ("it's as ugly as sin", "she's a grotty old tub").
If she has a boy's name, she's still she. "Boy James", "King Edward", "Sir David Attenborough"? The pronoun is she.
If it's a dumb barge (no engine), you say it. But if it's a rowing boat (no engine), you say she.
I hope this has cleared things up so that you may not be in danger of misgendering floating objects.

In my au, Jack has several different subsections of Green Mantis which he treats more like a guild than a Squadron. This is due to Jack spending his younger years in Fairy Tail instead of the Magic Knights. Jack didn’t actually join the magic Knights until he was 20 years old unlike I’m canon where he joined when he was 15.

getting scambot messages from random accounts that clearly used to be normal active blogs is sad enough. you know that there used to be a real person on that blog until they were tricked into handing their password to the digital fae.
but it's an entirely new level of tragic when somebody you've actually spoken to gets turned into a bot account. it's like peeking at a zombie apocalypse through the window and realizing one of the shambling corpses was your friend.
and then the zombie catches sight of you, lurches up to your window, and shouts through the glass that they accidentally reported your account to tumblr and you'll be deactivated unless you click this link.
RIP to the blog that used to DM me to tell me they liked my new chapters. Their last known words spoken before being turned, 17 hours ago: "Ggs!" They were praising someone's deadlift.
the message they tried to get me with is probably the same message that got them, so for anybody who hasn't already been warned about the signs of a zombie account:
if you get something like this ↑ they're gonna follow up by instructing you to contact tumblr support on discord and give you contact info; or they're gonna link a website that looks sort of like tumblr support and say you have to email them; or any variety of "you must now contact tumblr, here is how you contact tumblr."
whatever they send you, it Does Not lead to tumblr. it leads to the master zombie that bit them and inducted them into the ranks of the undead, and will bite you the second they have your email and password. i might be confusing zombies and vampires. anyway,
it's easier to fall for these messages because the blog doesn't LOOK like a bot blog, because it ISN'T a bot blog. it's a normal person's blog that got accessed by a bot, meaning the blog's content CLEARLY looks like a real active user when you click on it. and yes—it might even be a blog you already know. sometimes bots like this go down a blog's DMs or reblogs and message people they've previously interacted with.
they got one of my treasured followers, and they can get you too. don't fall for their tricks. know the signs.
