What do we know about Mitch's current health?

• Half deaf -> low balance, bad surroundings awareness

• Small appetite

• Pretty bad insomnia

• Horrible period cramps

• Most certainly anemic -> adds on low balance

• Cold body

• Sensitive to Sun (skin and eyes)

How was it as a baby? (1-2 years old)

• Low temperature

• Crying most of the time

• Thin, didn't get weight

• They didn't feel well with breastfeeding

• Falling a lot

• Struggling to play (especially outside)

• Late development with communication

• Didn't react to many sounds

• Getting sick constantly

• Feeling weak and sleepy, but didn't manage to fall asleep

Acier's reaction? Points to think?

• She already has a toddler to take care of (Nozel). (Maybe she wanted her children to grow together. That's why the short period between Nozel and Mitch. After Mitch came ill, she was more wary, and the next children were planned more carefully. I like to think Noelle was an accident, but Acier loved her as much as the others)

• Her other baby is terribly ill

• Mitch might die at any moment

• Going to doctors, but it wasn't doing much help

• Going to churchs but it also wasn't helping. (Some suggest it's the devil's work to doom her life, and she disagrees; her children are blessings, not curses.)

• Going to witches, maybe? Would she dare? Non-witches aren't allowed, but it would be cool if the Queen refused to heal the baby because she saw their vile future. "She's better off dead."

• At this point, Acier is desperate for the baby's health, knowing no one would want to help, having more reasons to say that baby is a curse.

• This strange man swears to help the baby live. It's suspicious, but he proves his powers somehow, and Acier lets him help.

What did Lucius do?

• Changed Mitch's magic. I wouldn't say it's Soul Magic, maybe a variation, because Mitch can only control souls from evil dead people (these aren't devils, they are evil people who died with regrets for what they did; now they wanna try to be good. Mitch can't change their essence to turn them good; they can only instruct them to do good things until they're redeemed)

• Reforced Mitch's life and spirit? That's why Mitch never thinks about dying and why they're so resilient to pain?

• Nothing changed about the body; Mitch is still ill. It isn't as noticeable because Mitch isn't reacting as before.

How is their life then?

• Acier is relieved her baby isn't distressed as before, but she knows something is off because Mitch was unsettlingly quiet, only crying when feeling scared, and unable to recognize their own basic needs (eat, sleep, pain, etc…)

• Sometimes, Mitch stare off blankly, and other times they stare fixated at random spots

• They see souls parasiting people, and days later, said person falls ill or dies.

• They have vivid dreams, most of them nightmares.

• They are terrified of being alone, and stay glued to Acier or Nozel.

• They don’t get out, the children are afraid of them.

• After knowing about that man who helped Mitch, people say they aren't just cursed—the devil came personally to possess them and bring misfortune to everyone.

• People weren't aware of Mitch's partial deafness and though they weren't answering because the devil was taking their senses away.

• Puberty comes, and Mitch starts complaining about their body, and it just sums up to that theory.

To be considered:

• How did Lucius get to Acier?

-> Maybe he had been waiting for days after seeing a future where her children had a special role in his plans? About transportation, maybe he had an adapted broom, something like Klaus', that allowed him to travel long distances while carrying luggage, all by himself? His siblings were still young (Lucius himself was 15-16), and I don't think there was any adult he would trust, so I suppose he'd go alone.

• Mitch's magic only manifested after meeting Julius.

-> They felt a weird, familiar feeling with Julius, but it also carried a bad feeling within. Mitch were genuinely scared of Julius at their first meeting, and they only felt comfortable after spending a lot of time with him, getting used to his soul until Lucius' wasn't too perceived anymore.

• Was Lucius in the vision telling Mitch to help those souls be good? If so, why?

-> His plan is to make a better, peaceful world. Maybe it was a way of testing the greatness of his power, turning bad things into good things? Maybe he planned to revive the reformed souls later on? An obedient army for him, with Mitch as his general? (oooh VERY cool)
