Yeah good morning I'm still thinking about Supergirl. Your MC is a disaster, a good person who's going through the worst time in her life. She's the most powerful person almost everywhere she goes, she's Kryptonian, but her hurt makes everything harder. Because she's flippant with her life, she drinks and eats anything handed to her or accessible whether she knows what it is or not and it nerfs her. She's hurting so deep that when she needs her best it's not there. Her self-neglect ends up hurting her chances to save what's currently her reason for hanging on. Don't you dare give up on me, because I'm still here. But she's still good, so despite the fact Krypto is her reason for living, we see her repeatedly give up the chance to save him to save other people, because she is good. Being good hurts her. Being hurt hurts her. Who she is is causing her pain but she keeps going anyway, one messy stumbling foot in front of the other because she's good and she's going to save her dog and cries when she thinks she won't be there to say goodbye but never once does she say she shouldn't have helped the people she helps. She says all she cares about is her dog but inevitably Supergirl cares about what's right and she cares about those who need her help.

And when they do, they have two options: apologize and actively commit to doing better, or understand that they are choosing racism and will be treated as such.
