So much of the discussion around the portrayal and fandom interpretation of Almalexia vs Sotha Sil and Vivec seems to miss that at this point she is by and large the least developed of them.
Vivec gets the spotlight in Morrowind (both as he is currently as of the game, as well as some implications of who he was in his past in the 36 Lessons of Vivec) and is probably the most developed character in the series. His depiction in ESO is, while obviously the same guy, distinct from his Morrowind one. It's clear he's changed over time, and the writing of that is deliberate. In ESO his relationship to the player is a mutualistic one, and in Morrowind it can be anything from being an antagonist to an ally depending on the player's decisions.
Sotha Sil is has an almost nonexistent presence in Morrowind, but gets a ton of attention in ESO (and is clearly one of the writers' darlings). He's got some good writing. ESO portrays him not just as an ally of the player, but also very sympathetically compared to Vivec and Almalexia. His role in Morrowind is pretty much to be no present for the Dunmer and then die, so during his fall from grace he has way less of an impression, unlike V and A.
Almalexia, while present in both Morrowind and ESO, has less time and development put into her than the other two tribunes. Unfortunately she was cursed with being stuck in the base game of ESO, and if I may get a little more opinionated, in one of the worst zone storylines in the worst alliance writing wise. In Morrowind she is fully antagonistic towards the player, and we only get to get an impression of who she is in the present, apparently going mad. To reiterate, she is clearly stated be to out of character in Tribunal. I might be reaching, but it seems like ESO's version of her and her personality is based on how she is in Morrowind (once again, losing her mind a little) with her being pretty openly self serving in her motivation, and compared to Sil and Vivec's dialogue, she comes off as very shallow (from a personality and writing perspective). To be clear, her being a one note and a villain in Morrowind is fine in my opinion, but pair it with a lackluster appearance in ESO and it makes her feel VERY neglected compared to her fellow godkings.
TLDR: Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is that the sidelining and maligning of Ayem goes all the way down. The fandom does it in part probably because of a degree of misogyny, but also in part because of her sidelining and maligning compared to Vivec and Sotha Sil in ESO. Vivec had his time to shine (as a character) in Morrowind, and Sil had his in ESO, while Almalexia hasn't had anything comparable. Some lines of world-building imply she did at some point. It claims she was the most personable and beloved Tribune! And yet we’ve yet to see any of the translate into the writing for her, or even an interesting contrast between her outward face and altruism with her deeper issues like we see with Sil or Vivec. And unfortunately, we’ve reached a point with the franchise where we’re unlikely to ever see them in any substantial way ever again. So we’re stuck with these characterizations.
lots of strong candidates for the funniest gameplay mechanic in morrowind, but I give a lot of points to "weapons break faster if you have higher strength" just for being so self-explanatory and intuitive
you can get stronger than your weapon, and this seems really good at first, and then you realise what being stronger than your weapon actually implies
know the difference!
“we live in an uncaring universe” yeah dude and I live in an uncaring house. and I shit in an uncaring toilet. but do you touch an uncaring lover? do you comfort an uncaring child? do you guide to sleep each night a cold and uncaring self?
please hurry up in reblogging this I wanna jorts it before someone puts it in one of those heartwarming tiktok slideshows
i was like 'what could jorts it possibly mean' but as with many things clicking the original post immediately clarified the situation

This the report that JK Rowing doesn't want you to see. This report scares her so much that she is trying to destroy Amnesty International, a human rights organization, to stop you reading it:
Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their fundin
(Amnesty already pulled the report because of JKR's threats. Of course that didn't and won't stop her - capitulating to fascists and bigots is never the answer. Alejandra captured the report and posted it, so you can read what JKR doesn't want you to know.)
Bluesky thread is a lot of screenshots (which I find impossible to cope with), but if you scroll far enough down, there's a link to the full pdf:
My good folks? Please stop reblogging this with incitements to violence. If you do, I will assume you are a terf fedposting, and report and block you as such.
online numbers can really fuck you up when it comes to your creative work because you're sharing something you worked on with all your heart but it's very important to remember there's actual people behind those numbers. even if it's 1. that's one whole actual person. that's a human being who said "haha nice". that's a connection with a REAL person with a REAL life and REAL thoughts and feelings and experiences. like. damn. that should mean something
