and THEN in the deadfire , he drops EVERYTHING to be right beside the watcher AGAIN after what happened in caed nua . without even knowing if the watcher would come back alive . he still went . he saw the watcher essentially die and come back and he didn't break away from their side for a second . and he stays ! and you help him find out something he left not figured out in his past , and you help him with figuring out where his faith lies . and in return , he is there to help you through it again . love how he essentially goes through it all again , except this time its facing his god and getting your soul back , but he's so committed there is not a slight hint of hesitation to continue the path they stay on . not to mention how highly he considers the watcher at this point . and you know what i do love how he can become friends with xoti i think its such a good thing for him . and for xoti !

and the thing about it all , is that he stays unromanceable . he just loves the watcher this much and he never even thinks of them that way . which impacts it much more for me because i think it works better for him to not be a romanceable companion — to just be a steady constant in the watcher's life . i love the fact he loves and trusts the watcher so much to drop everything to be there for them , and he never even considered for a second to think of them in anything other than a platonic way . that's a strength of his , i think , loving so much he faces essentially the end of the world as they know it . and going through it with sheer determination . simply because the watcher is there , too .
