The foray into the Alvarez Empire leaves Natsu and Gray transfigured and mentally scarred: one exhibiting a horn, a wing, and scales; the other grappling with a murderous voice sweet-talking him into killing his best friend.

While Natsu falls into the darkness of his own making, Gray is left to navigate being the optimistic and cheerful one.

He fails the cheerful part though, and while optimism has never been his forte, he does what he can. The alternative is quite dreadful.

We, the trailblazer, are an amnesiac ex-stellaron hunter with something known as the 'Cancer of All Worlds' stuffed inside of us, who might be an Aeon and have the ability to alter destiny apparently, and since the eye of Ishvara cannot perceive their fate they're definitely connected to an Aeon at the very least.

Himeko is the descendant of someone who stored her entire planet in a painting and apparently faked her death after defeating a serial killer in a game to gain the authority of an Aeon for a minute which she only entered to negate a curse that she got because of said ancestor, who is apparently still alive in spite of (probably) not being a long life species, and we still don't know who won those games

Welt is Welt. he is the Herrscher of Reason which in itself is insane, he came from another world and I don't know enough about HI3 to say much more but I know he's probably one of, if not the most OP person on the train

Sunday managed to design the shared dreamscape as a child and then went on to become the dead Aeon of Order for a bit

March is literally her own self-insert OC and her alternate personality can only be defeated by the power of friendship from March specifically because otherwise she can just sweep you into a memoria tide or make you forget everything and more since she is just that OP. Oh and she's also a candidate for becoming AN AEON

Then there's Dan Heng. And there is so much I can say about Dan Heng but I'm going to shorten it for the sake of this post. He is literally the creation of a dead Aeon and one of the few beings described as being the 'closest beings to permanence'. He was also implied to have been a god on his world, he is a god on another world. He has simultaneously lived over 90 lives and is in his early 30's and is also over 1000 years old. His original world hates him so much they went against their own laws to increase his punishment then proceeded to mess up so bad he might have started getting memories from aforementioned dead Aeon.

In general, nouns pick out the type of thing we’re talking about, and adjectives describe it,” Partee told me. She observes that the modifiers most likely to sit right next to nouns are the ones most inclined to serve as nouns in different contexts: Rubber duck. Stone wall.

Rules are made to be broken. Switching up the order of adjectives allows you to redistribute emphasis. (If you wish to buy the black small purse, not the gray one, for instance, you can communicate your priorities by placing color before size).  Scrambling the order of adjectives also helps authors achieve a sense of spontaneity, of improvising as they go. Wolfe discovers such a rhythm, a feeling-his-way quality, when he discusses his childhood recollection of “brown tired autumn earth” and a “flat moist plug of apple tobacco.”

Brain scans have discovered that your brain has to work harder to read adjectives in the “wrong” order.
