reddit having a normal one about ummm. the uk banning an act thatâs been observed to cause brain damage from being shown in porn
#''stay out of our bedrooms'' is so funny like what part of your bedroom is contained in porn studios
this is so true, they try to frame it as some violation of their private life, as if everyone is watching their own homemade sex tapes instead of watching videos commercially produced by companies with paid actors, cameramen, editors, advertisers, etc. if porn is so legitimate, they should have no problem with it being regulated like any other industry.

A Quiet Rule Review Could Drain the Prairie Pothole Region, Americaâs âDuck Factoryâ
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service rule revision would drain thousands of tiny-but-vital wetlands across the northern Great Plains
âRight now, the most important waterfowl habitat in the United States of America is at risk. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is considering repealing the rule that protects the integrity of the Duck Stamp easements that have been purchased for generations. Whether youâre a duck hunter or not, you understand the importance of conservation, the importance of waterfowl habitat, wildlife habitat, and clean water. Please take advantage of this opportunity to make your voice heard.â - Adam Putnam, CEO of Ducks Unlimited
On the northern Great Plains, the grasslands in states from Montana and the Dakotas to Minnesota and Iowa, as well as parts of Canada, are dotted with countless often-temporary wetlands. Some cover less than an acre. Many dry up and disappear during the year, only to return with snowmelt and spring rain. Collectively, these glacial depressions form one of North Americaâs most productive wildlife landscapesâthe Prairie Pothole Region (PPR). Often called the continentâs âduck factory,â this is the breeding, nesting, and hatching habitat for over 60% of ducks in North America, as well as dozens of other species of migratory waterfowl, shorebirds, and songbirds. This sprawling collection of millions of shallow wetlands is arguably Americaâs least known yet most important and threatened ecosystem. Now, however, an obscure federal review by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) has placed the future of many thousands of those tiny wetland habitats in doubt. "Right now, the most important waterfowl habitat in the United States of America is at risk. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is considering repealing the rule that protects the integrity of the Duck Stamp easements that have been purchased for generations," said Adam Putnam, CEO of Ducks Unlimited. "Whether youâre a duck hunter or not, you understand the importance of conservation, the importance of waterfowl habitat, wildlife habitat, and clean water. Please take advantage of this opportunity to make your voice heard..."

the patriarchal re-writing of history is truly fascinating and affects everything you think youâve ever known â the only way to combat this is to seek out women-authored intellectual works and re-learn our history from first principles
i recently learnt that many nuns were not the devout and chaste women that males would love us, and have continuously forced us, to be â and, for a non-trivial amount of women, being a nun had very little to do with submission to a male âGodâ
in many medieval and early modern European societies, women (and particularly lesbians) became nuns because it was one of the very few ways to escape marriage, (marital) rape, childbirth and a lifetime of exploitation by her husband â though, of course, the vast risks of male violence by religious men in the church remained
convents were one of the extremely rare places where women could access formal education and intellectual communities. here, women could learn how to read and write, and gain a broad education in theology, philosophy, music, languages, medicine and other areas
certain nuns, particularly abbesses of wealthy convents, had considerable authority which she could never have achieved in the outside world â including managing estates, controlling finances, and negotiating with political and religious authorities
in other words, it was more desirable for many women to pay a religious dowry and sell herself to âGodâ, than to pay a marital dowry and be sold by her family, and by society, to a man
of course, many convents were extremely abusive institutions, and the experiences of women differed greatly dependent on her social class and the historical period in question
however, itâs quite ironic that submitting to one of the most patriarchal institutions in society was one of the very few ways for some women to achieve a slither of intellectual, social and personal agency
Eat the rich.
If bitch isnât a misogynistic slur because âanyone can be called oneâ then explain the âno bitchesâ meme where the word is quite literally used as a replacement for women.
"Bitches" and "women" are used interchangeably in so many contexts. It's everywhere in top 40 songs. It's wild to claim that it's not a gendered word at all, esp when the literal meaning is "female dog". Like if u don't care about using slurs, then just admit that. But don't try to pretend like it's not one. The fact that it's widespread and normalized doesn't make it not a slur, it just shows how deep sexism is still ingrained in our culture.
I would also like to add that "anyone can be called one" isn't really true either, because calling a man a bitch is different from calling a woman a bitch. When a woman is called that, it's because she was mean, voicing her opinion or saying no. When a man is called that, it means he is weak (men call each other a little bitch to mean coward) and they're comparing him to what they think a woman is, aka weak. It always mean woman, they just don't wanna admit it.
I think when women are called bitches its still about being called a woman, and you're learning what that person really thinks about women.
âBitchâ means âacceptable target of misogyny.â Everyone says âI donât hate women, Iâm not a bigot! I just hate bitches.â And a âbitchâ is any woman who they decide has failed to earn their approval.
A lot of men will say âIâd never hit a woman but Iâd knock out a bitchâ which really just translates to âdonât get uppity because I can dehumanize and brutalize you on a whim.â Theyâre telling us that they have the right to decide whether we count as people. Because no one defends a bitch. A bitch is someone who deserves whatever men decide to do to her. And a bitch is any woman a man wants to hurt. But donât worry, thereâs no misogyny here
What can you achieve as a female lifter? There seem to be only 2 camps. The general public thinks a woman that touches a loaded barbell will
Posting this again because basically this is my bible
His article on training differences between women and men is also really good. A lot of the lifting advice typically found online is tailored to men, but optimising your training to take advantage of your female physiology (more volume, shorter rest times between sets, higher frequency per body part per week etc.) yields way better results in my experience.
It took me years of trial and error with my own training to basically reach the same conclusions he presents in this article.
Since my article on the natural muscular potential of women went viral with over twenty thousand s on alone, my inbox has been flooded with
That's very true and that's an excellent read as well!
Another thing I think is holding many women back too is not eating enough and getting scared if they notice their weight go up. Someone pointed out in the tags how the women in the photos are almost concerningly lean, which I don't disagree with but I'd like to point out that most of those photos are of fitness/bodybuilding competitors at their comp weight. That level of leanness is not maintained over long periods and competitors deliberately dehydrate themselves and cut their eating before comps to showcase muscle definition. Yes that is kinda crazy but that's the sport. It's not even really endorsing the comp physique as an "ideal" in my opinion. Most competitors are very open about it being an unsustainable and uncomfortable state.
My point is, those women have trained and eaten at a surplus to gain those muscles to begin with. You can't build that kinda muscle and look like those photos at the same time. That's the bulk/cut cycle. You need to eat to build muscle! And yes, that will mean you will gain fat and weight as well. That's a good thing! Too many women start working out at the gym and eating enough to satiate themselves, see their weight go up a few kg and immediately start dieting and doing cardio when they were just about to start getting some noticeable muscle and strength gain. And as a laywoman you absolutely don't ever need to cut to the point where these competitors go.
"Roar" and "Next Level" by Dr. Stacy T. Sims are cool books on muscle building and health for women. The first one is for pre-menopausal women and the second is for menopausal and post-menopausal women. If you're into fitness and wellness, she's worth checking out, because she's really into women-specific research and debunking health claims that get made based solely on research on male bodies.

A woman has successfully defended herself against a ÂŁ70,000 libel claim from a man she accused of sexually assaulting her, even though the police took no action against him.
In a landmark ruling regarding social media, a High Court judge rejected a claim from a Glasgow tattoo artist who complained that Nina Cresswell had falsely accused him of attempted rape.
The ruling in favour of Cresswell, 33, over Billy âthe Bastardâ Hay potentially sets a precedent for a public interest defence in relation to the discussion of âexperiences of sexual violenceâ online.
It is thought that the decision from Mrs Justice Heather Williams at the Royal Courts of Justice in London could protect people from being sued when they post comments about alleged attacks.
During the hearing Cresswell claimed that Hay tried to rape her about 13 years ago after the pair met at a nightclub while she was a student in Sunderland.
She reported the incident to the police at the time, but officers took the matter no further.
Hay has always maintained that the allegation was false and that he had only made an âill-judged offer of a kissâ outside the club. But in 2020, amid the #metoo backlash against sexual crimes against women, Cresswell posted comments on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and a blog site in which she related her version of the incident.
Her barrister told the court that Hay âpushedâ Cresswell into a wall, pinned her arms and âwhen she crouched to extricate herself, exposed his penis and asked her to suck itâ.
The barrister told the court that Cresswell was in tears but managed to escape. She later told her mother and friends and went to the police.
Hay sued her over the publications, claiming ÂŁ70,000 libel damages for the serious negative impact he said the online posts had on his reputation.
But the judge found that Cresswellâs story of the attack was âsubstantially true on the balance of probabilitiesâ, the civil law standard of proof, which is lower than the criminal standard of beyond reasonable doubt.
Williams said that she accepted that publishing the statements was not the only way that Cresswell âcould have taken steps to try to afford protection to other womenâ. But she said that the question for the court was âwhether her belief that publishing the statements was in the public interest was a reasonable one to holdâ.
After the ruling, Cresswell said that she was âhugely relieved and delighted at the judgment and I canât believe that I am finally free to speak the truth about the man who attacked meâ.
She added that her âonly motivation throughout has been to protect other women from risk, and I am confident this judgment will help others to do the sameâ.
When women speak the truth about men we get silenced, ridiculed, and told we need therapy.
does anyone have that post about OSHA compliant sex work? something about a dude who shows up to a guy's house in full ppe to give him a dry handjob

the way the term pickme is weaponized against women who criticize misogynistic compulsive beauty standards is genuinely evil . you think Iâm anti makeup and shaving because I want to get approval from a MAN ? You think most men love when women stop partaking in coercive patriarchal rituals??????
