Drunk History UK (2015-2017)

The UK version of the US show of the same name, this sketch show features different celebrity guests (usually comedians) trying to recount historical events whilst drunk, in which said drunk recounts of history are then re-enacted by actors. Plus some of the Six Idiots (that being Mat Baynton and Ben Willbond) are in some of the sketches!

Psychobitches (2012-2014)

Created, directed & written by Jeremy Dyson (1/4 of the British comedy troupe The League of Gentlemen), this sketch show is about different women from various points in history who seek help from a female therapist from the modern day (the therapist is played by Rebecca Front). Also features some of the Six Idiots (that being Martha Howe-Douglas and Mathew Baynton) in some of the sketches!

History of the World Part 1 (1981) & Part 2 (2023)

The 1981 film (directed by, written by & starring the LEGENDARY Mel Brooks) follows a Pythonesque satirical sketch format with different characters in different historical settings, with the usual classic Mel Brooks humour. The 2023 tv series (which serves as a sequel to the film) follows the format of the OG movie in a similar fashion, and manages to do so in a really good way. (Plus Mel Brooks narrates the series which is very cool <33)

Sketch History (2015-2025)

This German sketch show (which aired on the German tv channel ZDF, and ran for 4 series from 2015 to 2025) is basically like, well, a German version of “Horrible Histories” (in a good way I mean <33)

When Lieutenant Havers — no, Havers was gone — When Anthony went down the abandoned air raid shelter and closed the hatch, he thought he knew what he was doing. Yet, having woken up after he pulled the trigger, and having not been found for 80 years, he rather came to regret his choice.

Unsure of how much time has passed, he dreams of life, of childhood, of the life that could have been, and of the man that to him was an angel.

When Alison opens the hatch to the shelter 80 years later to hide one of mike’s new hobbies, Anthony discovers that perhaps he is not so alone after all.

Ok so for this universe

havers had a heart attack when seeing Captain before Captain could have a heart attack when the guys found out he wasn’t at the front

⁠Julian’s secretary had the heart attack before he did

⁠Isabelle took the bullet for Thomas

⁠Dante lived longer than the original universe, and when George was going to push Fanny off the balcony Dante barked. It gave Fanny enough time to get away, but George pushed Dante out in frustration

⁠Sophie was found out about the Catholic plot earlier, and was beheaded (her body usually finds its head more than Humphrey’s was able to because Sophie is smarter)

⁠Eleanor took the pineapple before Kitty

⁠the little boy who accidentally shot Pat, in this universe, accidentally shot HIMSELF in the foot. Probably either died of infection or blood loss.

⁠Mary moved on instead of Annie

⁠the bear was struck by lightning instead of Robin

Ghosts Remake Update!

Ghosts Australia has been acquired by the BBC!!

There’s no official release date as of yet but whenever we get it I’ll let you all know.
