So, uh, Wicker looks like it'll be a good movie., so hear me out: Capitano as a suit of armor?
Spoilers for the Wicker trailer
Suggestive content ahead 😏
A knock sounded on the armorers door.
He set down the chestplate he was polishing, opening the door to see the local fish merchant.
"Make me a husband." They got straight to the point, standing with an expecting gaze and a hand outstretched with a bag of mora.
"Be at the chapel in a month." With a single nod, the armorer took the bag.
"Good."
"Good."
The fish merchant turned and left, a smile gracing their lips as they went to gather their wares for the day. Closing the door, the armorer got to work immediately, there was far too much to do.
A few weeks later, as the fisher returned from the nearby lake with a basket full of plump fish, they ran into the armorer utop a horse and carriage. He offered them a ride back to the village and the suspected conversation started.
"How is my husband coming along?" They seemed a little less confident than before, likely due to the villagers increased teasing from their lack of spouse.
The armorer, however, seemed more confident than ever before. With a smug smile, he nodded to the covered pile clinking in the back of the carriage. "He's becoming quite the man, I've just got some more... adjustments for his lower body. I think you'll be more than pleased. Perhaps you'd like a peek?"
They only shook their head. "No I want it to be a proper surprise. It seems unfair to see him before he can see me." Glancing back at the armorer, his expression told them that was the right choice. "But if I may," a red hue graced their cheeks as they turned away, "I'd like to ask for him to be kind?"
.
After the month had passed, the fish merchant found their nicest clothes, firing themselves up a bit before awaiting at the chapel. At the alter they stood, waiting for any inclination that their husband was real.
What felt like forever had passed before they heard a clinking sound, like someone wearing heavy metal was walking closer. They looked to the front doors just as they were pushed open, revealing a large form.
Their husband was there, and they immediately took in as much of his form as they could.
Black armor, pointed gloves, tall and broad, and a large helmet utop his head were things they noticed. He held a bouquet of flowers in hand as he approached the alter. The fisher felt their breath halt as he stood before them, much larger than they initially thought.
He held the bouquet out to them, his first words of his life sounding deep and raspy from never being used before. "I am... here, to m-marry, you." They gently took the bouquet from his hands, letting their fingers brush against the cool metal of his.
The armorer was quite right, they were very pleased. And it seemed like their new husband was too, given how he carried them back to their home and took them right as the door shut.
My favourite duos have got to be The Cap and Pat and The Cap and Kitty.
In the fic I've been working on, Havers illudes to his 'illness', and literally everyone with a drop of insight is like "oh, he's talking about his homosexuality, ok. We can work through that." Until one day he mentions that he was bedridden for weeks with his illness and that he couldn't keep food down or muster up the energy to move, and then they're all "ok pretty sure you can't be bed ridden with Gay" and they pry a liiiiitle bit more and realise "oh, no, he's just EXTREMELY depressed."
Hearing the tragic and rather distressingly grisly story of Mary’s death.

Just read a note I left at 3:42am in my plan for part 2 of my fic, and I genuinely don't know what to do with "kitty obsessed with Havers brain matter, captain pale" like ok??????
