This Crockpot Chicken & Dumplings recipe is incredibly easy to make and delivers the perfect bowl of comfort food. With tender chicken, hearty vegetables, and fluffy biscuit dumplings, it's sure to warm you up on chilly days.
Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup. 1 onion, finely diced. 2 cups chicken broth. 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables. 1 teaspoon dried thyme. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into quarters.
Instructions: In the bottom of the crockpot, put chicken breasts. To the crockpot, add chicken broth, chopped onion, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Put in cream of chicken soup. Set the timer for 6 to 8 hours on low or 4 to 6 hours on high. Cover and cook until the chicken is tender and cooked all the way through. Take the chicken out of the crock pot about 30 minutes before serving and shred it with two forks. Put the chicken shreds back into the crockpot. Place biscuit dough quarters in the crockpot and press them down into the liquid. Put the lid on top and cook on high for another 30 minutes, until the biscuit dough is fully cooked and fluffy. Before serving, stir slowly. This bowl of chicken and dumplings will make you feel better.
