Based on Franklin's famous recipe, this BBQ sauce is thick and flavorful, with a hint of espresso. Great for giving your grilled meats more flavor and depth.
Ingredients: 1 cup ketchup. 1/2 cup brewed espresso. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Salt to taste.
Instructions: In a saucepan, combine ketchup, brewed espresso, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir well to combine all ingredients. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt to your liking. Remove the sauce from heat and let it cool before transferring to a jar or container. Use the Espresso BBQ Sauce to baste meats during grilling or as a delicious dipping sauce.
