Every ten years a crusade of people travel across the world hoping they'll be the one who is strong enough to give only TEN YEARS of peace without sin, and these people will not only not survive defeating sin, BUT BECOME THE NEXT SIN. Spira! Spiral! Cycle of doom!!

The way everyone knows someone who died, the way every character is coping with a cataclysmic, constant, paralyzing grief in unique and different ways.

And of course OF COURSE the little hints that Tidus is just a dream, that his Zanarkand was never real, that you could neeeeever notice without a second playthrough. Like yeah in Yevan's dream the good luck for blitz ball symbol is also a prayer for Spira's religion, but that doesn't make any sense. Why would such a slow and deliberate motion be essentially a cheer? There's just little clues that makes nothing add up until you reach Zanarkand
