Illustrators will talk about their "unrealistic dreams" of making a feature length animation, book, game, etc. about their characters. That's cool, genuinely. But as a potter mine is to tile the bottom of a public swimming pool with a comic that ends up seriously endangering people when they try to read it underwater. So. There's that.
