I’m a big fan of Superman, Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, RWBY, My Hero Academia, and Genshin Impact, and Marvel and DC comics.
I stan Izuocha, and Lancaster, and think that Eri is the adopted daughter of Izuocha!

So, when I was on my US vacation last summer, I found myself at a Hobby Lobby...and found something special:
A Gundam kit. Talking with @itsupermanti (thanks dude!) about Gundam a lot and I've been wanting to actually give it gunpla a shot...and here it is. And from my fav series too!
So, I bought it! Kept it safe in my suit case for weeks, got home and....!
Proceeded to delay building it because I was afraid of screwing up, of breaking it. For months.
It took a friend of mine, who builds 40K minis so you KNOW he's serious, literally dragging me out of my chair a couple of days ago to finally get started.
It was slow at first. Nerve wracking. For me at least my friend said I was lucky gunpla didn't need glue.
Also the shoulder emblem was upside down and had to fix it xD
But then...I caught the bug. My friend went home...and I kept thinking about the damn kit, stashed away in a closet. Had to finish the other arm.
First thing in the morning next day, I left my bed and finished the feet, followed by the legs in the evening.
It was kinda hard to stop after that XD and in one fell swoop, I finished my first kit! And it felt great! A tactile hobby that takes concentration and focus but is laid back enough to be done in several sittings.
Moral of the story is, don't be afraid to try new things. You'll be bad at it at first, but once you start, it'll be hard to stop.
...now to get started on that SECOND gunpla kit I got in that same Hobby Lobby!

What are the Rwby characters thoughts on Kamen Rider?
Since I'm unfamiliar with the subject, I'm going to assume this in reference to all Tokusatsu (Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Power Rangers, etc.)
Likes: Yang, Jaune, Nora, Oscar, Penny
Yang and Jaune grew up on Kamen Rider, with the latter even been caught on film performing the motions when he thought no one was watching (his sisters did). Yang has so much homemade merch of her own costume that she's actually proud of this one piece of her childhood. Nora, Oscar, and Penny were introduced later by the two and almost immediately fell in love with Nora getting excited over the pyrotechnics, Oscar being drawn by the boyish allure that can only be found in tokusatsu productions, and Penny is especially a fan of stories that discuss the merits of humanity and the soul.
Neutral: Ruby, Weiss, Ren
Unfortunately, Ruby and Weiss never caught on despite their siblings' passions for such things, Yang and Whitley respectively. Still, that makes holiday shopping easier for them. Ren doesn't really see the appeal, either, as he sees it as over the top action at best and an insult to dance at worst (he will never forgive Hip Hop Kido)
Dislike: Blake, Pyrrha, Emerald
For their own reasons, these three cannot stand tokusatsu productions. Blake finds the dialogue and story elements too juvenile for her liking, even stating that the more serious stories feel like they're being edgy for the sake of being edgy. Pyrrha can't take the fighting seriously when all the fights feel like either having everyone be one-shot until the villain of the week does something different; it's all repetitive and derivative. Emerald never had a childhood, so she hates everything.
What are your thoughts, @tokufan700, @itsupermanti, @delugedecade, @sexy-citadel, @rpking99, and @megareader93-aka-composcreator, @fuudairyu, @hyeet, @infoglitch, and anyone else more knowledgable than I am who want to put in their two cents on the subject...
Kamen Rider is all about transforming superheroes with powerful transforming weapons, who’s whole deal is that they fight for the ideals of “Love and Peace”. Jaune would definitely look up to such characters, and Ruby would too, while also thinking that the weapons are awesome, especially the ones that transform!
Nora loves the explosive effects, and Oscar can relate to some of them being randomly dragged into the role of having to save the world from modern and ancient evil.
As for their favorites;
Nora: Ex-Aid(video games and hammer!)
Oscar: Den-O(Ryotaro gets possessed by spirits just like Oscar does with Oz)
Ruby: A tie between Gaim and Build(they both have large arsenals of unique weapons for her to drool over. Gaim’s fruit themed arsenal also makes her hungry from time to time)
Jaune: Kiva(he relates to Wateru’s initial struggle of feeling like an outcast and feeling like a burden of responsibility is placed upon him)
Nora: ...Aren't you afraid? I thought my prey would at least be on guard sniffing around my territory. But maybe your domesticated lifestyle has made you numb to your survival instincts~? Like goose that's flying in circles.
Weiss: Why are you here?
Nora: I know you're in love with him.
Weiss: !!!
Nora: I would know since I love him more than anything, too.
Weiss: Do you... really mean that?
Nora: I do. I love him more than Ren. And Pyrrha. And not even pancakes come close to how I feel about Jaune. He's my whole life~.
Weiss: ...
Nora: But how do you feel toward him again? Do you have a crush on him?
Weiss: ...
Nora: I asked you a question. ARE YOU IN LOVE WITH HIM?
Weiss: Love is... a bit of a bold label...
Nora: ...I told you how I felt without any hesitation. So now it's your turn! (Corners her) Go on! OPEN YOUR HEART!

Neat idea. What if crocea mors was revered as a legendary blade able to break any lesser weapons or armor with ease. But in reality it's just that it's made out of stuff like s7 tool steel and most weapons used by huntsmen are made of cheap low carbon steel since metallurgy isn't as advanced in remnant.
Most weapons are protected by the aura of the person using them, hence why they're considered extensions of the self.
Does having a +3 sword and shield help jaune keep up with his friends? (His armor is made of the standard low carbon steel)
So... I'm not an expert on metallurgy or things like that, so let me see if I have a firm grasp on the subject you're asking.
First and foremost, S7 Tool Steel is shock-resistant general-purpose air-hardening tool steel. The "shock-resistant" refers to its ability to absorb shock from impact, making it stronger and tougher than other steels. Its ability to resist softening at higher temperatures also means it can be used in hot work that does not exceed 1000dF/538dC. However, it should be noted that it's not as resistant as S5 steel, though it's place as S7 means it is great for general purpose use.
However, Low Carbon Steel, also known as "mild steel", is a type of steel with low carbon content, ranging between 0.05 to 0.3% carbon. This low carbon content makes it more malleable and ductile than most other steels. It's the most common produced steel on Earth and is also less prone to corrosion that other steels.
Based on this information, I think I can see how weapon production would work based on these two metals.
Modern day weapons require constant upkeep, capable of acquiring upgrades, and shift around to accommodate different modes of combat. This way, weapons like Magnhild and Crescent Rose would be made of LCS for weapon modification.
Older weapons, however, such as those in the Color War, would likely be made of S7 material for sturdier one-and-done tasking. This would make them hardier and require less upkeep, but also limits their ability to change shape beyond sword to different kind of sword.
Fun fact. When Crocea Mors Breaks, it does so along the modification line where Pyrrha's metal was introduced to it. Had it not been modified along the blade it probably wouldn't have broken and could have resulted in Cinder losing instead of Jaune.
I also heard an idea that since Pyrrha was a tournament fighter, her own weapons were made of weaker and cheaper materials compared to other weapons, since they’re meant for tournament fighting and could lose their edge fighting Grimm faster than standard Huntsman weapons.
