Ruby: Hello, Im Ruby, and Im going to eat this entire chocolate cake in one sitting.

Ruby: *tucking a napkin into her collar* I know what I’m about, son.

Weiss: How did your writing go this week?

Blake: Not bad, but I think I might have to add a few more books to my planned trilogy.

Weiss: You found a way to continue your story after the planned ending?

Blake: No really, it's more like I think it's going to take more books to get to the ending I planned. Like 14 books.

Weiss: My gods Blake, this is why you need an outline.

Blake: I have an outline, it's just taking longer for my characters to get between plot points than I thought it would.

Weiss: For 14 books? Some of that has to be superfluous.

Blake: Aren't you currently writing a series with like 12 400k word books?

Weiss: And every single one of those words are necessary. So says the outline.

Blake: Whatever... what do you think, Ruby?

Jaune: *Walks into living room* Now I just have to- *drops platter* Oh-oh no. The cheese! What happened to the stinky cheese?

Penny: *Cheese crumbs on her face* Ummm.

Jaune: Penny the platypus faunus, you ate all the cheese!?

Penny: ...yes.

the rest, not so much. "casual swearing" is not part of their repertoire; it's more specific if and when they swear.

with summer, no one really expects her to swear at all, so when she does it usually means someone has really pissed her off or gotten under her skin. . . or she stubbed her toe really bad (and of course that's the first time either ruby or yang has heard any of them swear, and of course it happens right when qrow is around so that he can tease her about it for eternity because despite the odds, it wasn't him). with her team, though, it takes less than that; quick, dead pan "fuck you"s at her teammates for the slightest of "transgressions" aren't unheard of.

tai's more dependent on the company he's in. he does his best not to swear—being a parent and a teacher and what not, trying to be a good role model kinda comes with it—but if he's with qrow, he's definitely a bit more loose about it. call it a bad influence, if you will, but it definitely also extends to the topic being about qrow; "he might be a fucking idiot, but he's our fucking idiot", and such. outside of that, if you hear tai swearing, it's usually under his breath.

perhaps funnily enough, raven is the hardest for me to imagine swearing, and that's mostly because she knows how to be rude, insulting, and condescending without swearing, so what need does she have for it? none. even if someone really managed to piss her off, i just don't see that type of anger for her to be explosive, it's more. . . you know when the forest goes completely still and quiet when there's a predator around? it's that. there's no room for swearing, there.

the only problem. . . i'm writing it as if it's an animated show. unless i get a sudden burst of inspiration to start designing outfits, learning 3D modeling and animation, that's never going to happen, so now it remains to be seen whether i can translate it to something that's actually made to be read without losing the general vibe of it that i'm so far liking.
