How do you think Kafka will react to the revelation she's been having an enemies with benefits thing going for who knows how long with a high school girls self-insert OC
I have a few more of these that i need to get out of my system lol
it's very frustrating seeing otherwise well-structured posts about media literacy and critical thinking bookended with statements about "nowadays", "nobody has literacy anymore", "this generation is so anti-intellectual", and the like, unquestioningly falling into better past fallacies.
Do we really think the 80s and its Satanic Panic were better at critical thinking? what about the 40s? the Victorian era? societies have always had problems with critical thinking and literacy, because most societies have dealt with propaganda, corrupt leadership, difficulty providing education (due to poverty or discrimination or other issues), and/or people who resist critical thinking (due to privilege or circumstance or what have you). we can criticize media trends without pulling a "well back in the GOOD OLD DAYS" about it.
If she was in charge of the backrooms research team then there would be no fucking about. She would already have the answers, none of this âI donât knowâ business. Ryland Grace would be hazmat suited up and sent in there ASAP.

Smoking absolutely destroys your estrogen.
Can I be honest with yall I don't want to hear SHIT against cishets at pride this year
"But it's not FOR them!!!" The biggest military power in the world belongs to a christofascist nation overseen by a felon found guilty of 34 federal crimes and has greenlit a gestapo with more direct funding than the entire military of Canada for the purpose of ethnic cleansing. Let Hetero Jessica throw some biodegradable glitter at a municipal parade
At this point if anyone is trying to exclude anyone benignly pro-queer from a pro-queer space I'm just going to assume you're a fed or something idk like something something destabilize the movement from within or whatever
Once when I was in undergrad, someone described something as âproblematicâ in class and our professor was like, âThatâs cool, but âproblematicâ doesnât really mean anything. It means that the thing youâre describing has a problem, and in and of itself thatâs not bad. Art, especially, should always have problems, or else itâs not interesting and not art, either. It sounds like youâre trying to say that this is bad, but you donât want to say âbad.â Is that right?â
So from then on whenever one of us called something problematic, he would make us talk it out until we could name the âbadâ thing we were hinting at. In this particular class, 7/10 it was some type of oppression, and the remainder was like, âIâm uncomfortable because this is very new/confusing/pushing boundaries that made me feel safe.â
Once we stopped calling things âproblematicâ and stopping at that, class got way more interesting and... we all had to say, like, âthatâs racistâ or âthatâs misogynisticâ or âew capitalism grossâ out loud, which a lot of us had never done in a classroom before. Or we had to be like, âUhhh... Iâm not sure whatâs so bad?â and confront our own beliefs and that was maybe even more useful.
Anyway. Whenever I see the word problematic, I canât help but think of this professor being like, âGood starting point, now letâs get specific.â I think when we have to commit to saying âthatâs ___â it requires a lot more careful thought about the truth and impact and complexities of whatever weâre claiming. Sometimes there really is some bullshit afoot, and also sometimes itâs art, and it should be full of problems, because thatâs what art is.
So the Maked Fool who sent Fulwish her mask is absolutely Asat Pramad, right? It has to have been. If the dude really is behind everything that's gone fucky in Planarcadia since forever, he has to have been the asshole who saw a girl have her entire sense of trust in other people shattered into a million pieces on live television and thought "ha. that shit was a knee slapper. she'd kill it at the tavern."

Dangerous Oni!
I like Ibuki a Lot(TM) Her summer hair is honestly such a fun thing to draw!
alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

Personally? I would never deny Hiromu Arakawa her right to a short bratty braided blond character in a kickass red coat
Invent a look this iconic and I think you should get to use it in every series.
It was actually her assistants conspiring lmao
The funniest part to me is the way that she doesn't even believe her assistants are responsible for this. She 100% blames Edward "fictional character who can't directly affect the real world unless made to do so" Elric.
important: her face

ive invented (note: dubious claim) something i call the bear diet which is mostly fruits and vegetables with fish as the main protein source and something like once a month you eat a few hyperprocessed foods of your liking because that is when you, the bear, raid a dumpster in the suburbs
after the hyperprocessed foods, do you take tranquilizers to simulate getting captured by animal control and returned to the wild?
i would settle for melatonin gummies but well. knock yourself out
Hades 2 original and new ending thoughts (spoilers obviously)
I will say, unlike many people it seems, I did like the original ending - I had issues with it for sure, though that had everything to do with the pacing and how it all came about rather than how it actually ended.
I think it fits very well to have Chronos be redeemed. Because Hades as a series, first and foremost, has always been that family deserves a second chance. It is one of the main themes of the 1st game! So I am glad that they brought it over into the 2nd. I think the people who were 100% expecting Mel to take down Chronos with no remorse or lesson to be learned didnât truly absorb what the 1st game was trying to teach.
Now, the things I didnât like about the original ending of 2. There are really only three things:
1st, it felt a bit rushed. It didnât feel like there was much build up to it, and then it was suddenly just CHRONOS REDEEMED and that was that. We got the one scene with young Mel and Chronos, and not much else to really show us this relationship they could have had.
2nd, I didnât like that Zag and Chronos were the only two people who could remember the alternate timeline. I remember thinking âaw. I think it would impact the story SO much more if at least Mel remembered.â This isnât the biggest of the issues, but it was something that I think wasnât making it actively worse, but would have made it better.
And 3rd, probably the biggest issue I had, was that Zag went behind Melâs back and redeemed Chronos without really even running it by her. Okay, yes, he vaguely brings it up here and there, but there wasnât ever a definitive âhey actually letâs really talk about thisâ (yes I know time was limited but if it was important enough to Zag that he would go behind her back then he should have pushed at least a little harder). I have no issue that he did redeem Chronos - in fact, I think itâs VERY in character. Because, again: Hades 1, redeeming family, second changes, etc etc. What I didnât like was that it, in a way, robbed Mel of her agency. Instead of making me happy that the themes of the first game were being continued, it instead made me sad that she had spent her whole childhood learning how to do this one thing, only for Zag to all but rip it away from her.
So now, with all that in mind.
I LOVE the new ending. It fixes literally every single issue I had.
For the 1st: it no longer feels rushed. There are more scenes, more dialogue, a whole new 3rd phase with Chronos where he has an AMAZING monologue. I had chills listening to it. Then of course we get the same scene from the original ending with young Mel, but then we actually get to see scenes from her growing up! Having Chronos in her life! Interacting with Hypnos and Than! Painting her nails with Meg and Duda! Being trained by Achilles! Like!! Good shit!!! Good shit right there!!! I love it! It feels much less rushed and so much more thought out. Also we get to talk with Achilles! Thatâs neat!
For the 2nd point: Everyone from the house of hades remembers now!!! Which is even more than I wanted, I would have been happy with just Mel! Not that Iâm not happy. Because OML the thought that Penelope actually got to raise a child??? She remembers raising Mel?? MY HEART OUGH. I also just think it makes things so much more intriguing! And really, just make more sense. I mean, why would only Zag and Chronos remember? Why would Mel not? But now she does! And I love that. I love it!
And for the 3rd point: Completely fixed! It is now Melâs idea to redeem Chronos. Which now makes more sense because of the 1st point (re: more build up, better paced, Chronos new dialogue, etc etc). I think this is great! Also the line she has to Hecate about her being the reason Mel doesnât just blindly do what she is told? CINEMA I love it. And in the same vein, I love how much more enraged Hecate is, and for good reason, because she doesnât remember! I think this change was exactly what the ending needed, and Iâm so glad supergiant did it. Now I can actually feel happy about the themes rather than being so focused on feeling bad for Mel.
Anyways the tl;dr of it all: I liked the original ending, I think the themes fit perfectly from those of the 1st game, just had some pacing and logistical issues. I LOVE the new ending because it still fits well with the themes of the 1st game but now no longer has those pacing and logistical issues. AMAZING.
(Actually I have one more complaint: needs more Charmes GIVE ME MY HUSBAND SUPER GIANT MAKE THEM KISS RN)
