I also love thinking about the overarching purpose of these logs it's meticulously recording and annotating even when the situation is unpleasant or embarrassing. We see it affirm many times the need to be vulnerable with one another to be believed:

And I'd add that while the narratives definitely gives context to new rogues as a "jumpstart guide" we can see that it is meant for the more general audience too when it annotates in comments like:

that it wouldn't really think to add if talking purely to constructs. And we see the potential benefit of it including humans in its audience in action after they make their impromptu corporation expose, and rather than being more afraid of the former death squad human, the colonists trust him:

It encompasses in its audience all the humans it had encountered who were just trying to survive, just fearing SecUnits bc their lives are already demonstrably imperiled, who were kind and welcoming to it when they had no way of telling what it was. It has as its focus both "the story of what would happen" if constructs were given a chance at freedom and trust and the story of what constructs could do with their new freedom and trust.
I had to make media to tell a story to these humans. Not my story, and not just me talking. I had to tell their story, the story of what would happen to them if they said yes to Barish-Estranza. It would technically be fiction, but the kind of fiction that was true in all the ways that mattered. [SC, Ch7]
