Shez x Petra

As much as I loved Legends: Arceus, after just finishing the main game, I can’t help but feel as if I was robbed of seeing an idea I’ve had for years come to fruition. Throughout the story, Kamodo is implied to not believe in the unity of people and Pokémon, sort of like Team Plasma, but out of the sake of humans. Before your fight with him, it’s revealed that his home was destroyed by Pokémon, meaning he could even hate Pokémon. The story still implies that this is somewhat true, but like many storylines in Pokémon, this isn’t expanded upon much at all and goes out like a wet fart. An idea I’ve had for a Pokémon evil team for a few years is a group of people who, for one reason or another, hate Pokémon with a passion. I’d say that they want to kill Pokémon, especially since Legends Arceus did mention death like a lot for a Pokémon game and Pokémon have been said to die before, but if that’s too dark, they can just be vague about it and put them in cages. This idea has always been inspired by How To Train Your Dragon villains, who hate dragons but use them because they kind of have to. Those folks would use Pokémon in order to defeat Pokémon that they could then kill(preferably), which would allow us to have Pokémon battles with them despite their hatred of Pokémon. Without that explanation, it’s like be trying to do sword fight someone who’s racist against swords. I think this idea also works well because it’s an easy group to get behind wanting to stop, which is all you really need for a Pokémon game. I feel more inclined to stop Pokémon murderers and racists than I do for people who just really like the ocean. Besides, I want Pokémon to get more teen angst anyway.
