Opinion #2: I absolutely fucking love it. It makes a lot of sense to me, ya know? Like, the only points in the musical where she shows up are in songs (which, for sa, aren’t for furthering the plot, but for understanding the characters, or revealing past events, like ‘The Dark I Know Well’) and when Moritz is about to die. When she shows up then, it doesn’t feel real - it feels like her life is too dramatized, too exaggerated, as if it was just Moritz’s idea of her. Plus, the whole scene kind of reminds me of a far more warped version of Fantine showing up at Valjean’s death
